I don't get the wedding lingerie do you wear it through out the day or just at night because when I look up different lingerie some of them look really nice but you wouldn't be able to wear it under a dress??? xxxxxxxxx

welcome to UKB and there are tonnes of tips. the first one i can offer to you is check out our wedding to do list which i will bump for you.
The other is:
think of date and budget
then try and choose a day that suits your budget (weekday weddings are cheaper)
8th September 2012 I married my best friend
1st September 2014 our little family grew by one

Welcome; I'm new here too and I'm 22. I think it depends on the type and colour dress you get to what lingerie you get if you want to wear it under your dress though some people change from their wedding dress to an evening dress for the reception; you can also change into the lingerie with the evening dress if you wanted. I think generally it is up to you.

Congratuations and welcome to uk bride :-) I'm 21 but I know there are other 19year olds on here. But tbh, it feels like we're all the same age anyway :-) I'm only wearing knickers under my dress on my wedding day, I will be buying bedroom duties only lingerie though ;-) xxx

I'm feeling old. I'm 30 and getting married on my 32nd birthday. Lingerie for the day will be whatever makes you look stunning in your dress. Most ladies then have wedding night lingerie which is more to show off to your new husband.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

Hey im 21 gona be 22 when im maried but hubby to be will only be 20. Best advice i can give is work out your budget first and decide what sort of wedding you want ie church or somewhere else. There are great deals to be found on the internet. Not everything has to be from actual wedding shops. Most important make sure its what u and ur partner want dont over worry about everyone else. If u want any other advice dont be worried to ask and alot of answers can be found in the forum. Good luck xx

Thank you for everyones advice on that, I think I will now just wear knickers during the day and then have some nice underwear for the evening. I am glad I am not the only young bride around. What are people doing for favours, how much is the average spend per person on it because I just can't make my mind up of what to do :) xxxxxx

You can find some great favours if you look around; especially certain sites which I don't know if I am allowed to name. You can get personalised ones with the date of your wedding and your names but they are a little more expensive. I've known people to hand make cookies or cakes and pop them in an organza bag and put a little tag on them; for instance - ' Thank you for sharing our special day with us. Love Mr and Mrs ? x'
You can gret personalised chocolates as well. I was thinking of doing these little scrolls (personalised) and some chocolates; all in a little bag :)

Personally im not bothering with them. But ino people that have just got little bags and put choclate or mints in them. Also if ur having kids there u can get little bubble bottles shaped as champaye glass or a bottle etc. I sujest just look around x

I have bought 100 organza bags (70ish guests) which were £2.98 and I will be buying those little packs of parma violets (2 packs per bag) at £6.. So £9 for all my favours :-D Spent £25 making up kids packs too for the 14 under 10's we have coming.. xxx

Welcome and Congrats.
Im going to be 29 when we get married and my OH will be 35.
We would have spent about £90 quid on the men's - were having brandy bottles and about £40 quid on the ladies - they are having heart shaped bath bombs.
Were not having children to the day only the evening xx
