Did you discuss the 'kiss' with your other half before you got married?
I really think it's a good idea! OH and I went to a wedding a few weeks ago and the kiss was so awkward...he went for the lips, she went to the cheek and they ended up half head-butting each other in front of all the guests!
They laughed it off but I'd find it so embarrassing!
What kind of kiss is everyone doing? On the cheek? On the lips? With tongues? Without?
I've never thought about it til I witnessed how awkward it could turn out to be!

We have discussed this! H2b thought I was mad when I mentioned it tho haha On the lips but no tongues think that would be a bit too far I know I would cringe if I was a guest and bride and groom started full on snogging teehee save that til later ;-) xx

H2B has brought this up before, he was talking about his sisters wedding and how they both went for different kisses and how awkward it looked. He's therefore insisted on tongues which I can't complain about lol.

When i got married the first time, we did do the kiss until we signed the register so it wasn't so embarrising, but this time me and h2b have agreed on just the lips, he says he doesn't think god and jesus would appriciate tongues. lol.

The first time was a rehursal, this time its for life.
if anyone has seen the wedding singer then u will know what im talking about, that is what i would call a good kiss! open mouth kiss maybe a slight bit of tongue but nothing too offensive! lol
i dunno about anyone else but i would feel a bit embarrassed watching a couple in full on snog! lol me and my partner kiss all the time with just our lips but not just a peck, more like a lasting peck lol we would prob do that!
although i can imagine him slipping in the tongue just for a laugh! i hope he doesnt as my face will be a picture if he does! lol might have to have a word with him about it now lol

our vicar said he doesn't actually say the line 'you may now kiss the bride' as that's American and not in the C of E service book!! But if we do then I suppose it would just be a simple peck on the lips - I'll have parents and grandparents watching!!

My h2b keeps asking me.to discuss this. We still have plenty time though. Im not one for full on tounge action in public places. Its just rude!! So no toungue for me lol. A nice kiss on the lips, nothing to short or long We can practice for the next two years though lol x x x

I love a good snog don't get me wrong, but over the top PDA make me a little queasy lol! We will practise and we will be going for the already mentioned 'pro-longed peck'! H2b and I do this mostly so that's what we will stick with :)

me and my h2b, have discussed this, we're are going to touch foreheads and share a breath together before our first kiss, this is a tradition often found in fiji, (our theme and where h2b is from)! cant wait! :)

I think it would be more than fitting for h2b to headbutt me as he went to kiss me on my cheek on our first day and i moved and he headbutted me then - its been a running joke ever since lol Maybe we should practice :)

oh i hate it on the wedding TV programmes where you see the bride and groom going for it giving each other the tongue!! NO NO NO! Makes me bolk. We are not going to practise either, want the moment to be special and not rehearsed. Will just see what happens!

i just asked H2B and he looked at me like I might have a screw loose and said ' a normal kiss' I said well apparently we need to discuss it to avoid headbutting and he just carried on doing what he's doing. I think it's just going to be a lingering kiss :D

We'll be going for a normal long kiss but I'm really worried about this bit. Reason being is that H2B has this habit of licking me after a kiss. He finds it hilarious to lick my cheek or my nose, no matter how many times I tell him not to. I've perfected a 'dodge' now but that wouldnt look too pretty in full wedding day get up!! Fingers crossed he wont do it!

H2B mentioned this to me a few weeks ago, until then i hadnt even thought about it. But i have no idea. wont be going in for full on super tongues though lol. Honestly i hate public displays of affection and watching people in deep snog kind of freaks me out, yes i am weird but the way i look at it. me and H2B have a very overly affectionate relationship we just dont like to subject everyone else to it so we save our smooching for in our own time

I'm not feeling the tongue in front of young children and old people, so i think it'll just be a nice long smooch for us, we'll have to give it a few goes and then it'll probably go all "you've been framed" on the day, cos we're both a tad accient prone! lol x

I think I want to practice the kiss. My H2B is very shy and I think displaying this kind of affection infront of people will result in an embarrassingly short peck, or a wet nose! lol
I agree with most of the ladies above, no tongues! Not something I enjoy witnessing myself, so I wont be inflicting it on others.

we discussed it lol, we just went for a kiss on the lips, with it being a church though they didn't do the you may now kiss the bride thing as we went straight in to the blessing, so h2b had to wait a few more minutes then the photographer said it

Aww there's a perfectly tasteful way of kissing with tongues that doesn't make you look like you're about to 'get it on' lol. And if there's any time for an epic kiss- it's when you wed! People who don't wanna watch don't have to look after all.

My H2B said to me - who the heck kisses their new wife on the cheek - then rolled his eyes lol!!
Neither of us are over affectionate people so i would imagine just a linger kiss on lips........... i'll wait till he comes home and get practicing ;) xx
