Disco/DJ is booked.... they'll set up in the morning and play from 7.30 until midnight - £200... does that sound a reasonable amount? They're a proper business not just a man with an i-p-od and a screen :)

whoo hoo then. Guy on the phone said a lot of people are cutting back on discos etc, and then there's the 'friend of a friend' who will do one and has a screen and an i-po-d so just puts on random stuff.. I looked on his website and he's got lights :)... He also does the discos at the local US Military base - and they're fussy peeps.
Have got to do some sort of play list for him, but that can wait a bit.. must have a bit of Old Meaty-loafy for the OH.. (Paradise by the dashboard light I reckon, though it's not at all suitable for a wedding hehehe)

another dilemma... H2B's nephews (similar age to H2B so not 20 year old hippty hoppers) also do discos as a side line - they've got all kinds of equipent and have done many birthday parties etc. I asked one of them if they'd do it - he (younger one) came back with that he'd rather enjoy the day as a guest which is fine... he's just messaged me to say that the other one will do it.. now he'll do it for the price of a room at the venue and a few small sherries which is an awful lot less than the 200.. I haven't paid the one I rang yesterday so, at the moment, I have no contract with him other than a verbal one... another big hmmmm
