Last Saturday I married the man of my dreams and had the most perfect day!

The sun shone for us and we were surrounded by our closest friends and family, it was fantastic and even though it seemed to be over in a flash it's a day I will never forget - here is a a photo from the big event :)

Just thought, how short and sweet my initial post comes across! LOL, how rude of me! ;)

Everything was pretty much perfect on the day, from my lovely bridesmaids keeping me calm and getting me ready on time - in fact we were ready so early that we set off as soon as the wedding car arrived and got to the castle about 20 minutes early....as we approached the entrance the wedding planner came running down the road towards to us..."you're too early, go round!" LOL

The ceremony went by in a flash, I had tunnel vision thoughout the whole thing concentrating on getting my words right and stopping my hubby from placing my ring on the wrong finger! LOL, I also had a job getting his ring on as the heat had had made his hands swell :/

The one thing from the ceremony that will stay with me forever is the collective gasp I as I entered the room alongside my uncle, and the look on Clive's face - he came THAT close to losing it, bless him!

I came close to getting sun burnt during the photos afterwards as it was so flipping hot out! I hadnt thought to put on suncream but luckily my Aunt came to the rescue :) Hopefully no red bits will be on show in the official pictures!

I could ramble on for ages....but in a nutshell, the wedding breakfast was a lovely - I walked straight past the cake without even seeing it - tunnel vision again! The meal was fabulous and a lot better than we expected, even the kids were eating their veg with gusto, the speeches were wonderful, my husband made a special mention to my dearly departed parents which bought me to tears (in a nice way) and as for the best man, well...put it this way, we now have a wedding portrait that will haunt me forever!!!!!

The evening party / reception was a relaxed chilled out affair, I had ditched my dress by 6pm as I was so hot and uncomfortable in it, I was intially determined to keep it on but after seeing more and guests getting changed in to t-shirt and shorts, I thought - "sod it, I'm doing the same" after all, one of the guests said, it's your day do what you want!

That evening I crashed after surviving on very little sleep for the previous week, but my god it was worth it. So many guests said it was best and most fun wedding they had been to, and many new and lasting friendships were formed throughout the weekend.

I kind of wish we could do it all again!
