As some have been asking I thought I had best post some pics up. I've just made my first invite for the wedding. I need to print the inserts off too but that can be done later. Also going to heat emboss handmade by kevin & Jo on the back of them too so people know we made them.
Just need to convince the h2b that the gold buckle looks better than the 3d paper butterflies. Can't wait for him to come home and see it. I've got personalised ribbon for the rest saying evening invite, order of service and thank you then some saying Kevin & Joanne with our wedding date for things like the table numbers and place cards etc. I can't wait to get cracking making everything now! Yay!
Can you please let me know what you think.

Thanks girls. Just need to sit and make them all now. Anyone want to help?
The hand sewing on the sides of the paper takes some time to do. If anyone is bored and wants something to do....... apply here! haha

I did Kelly but for some reason the cards don't stand very well that way up and it makes it harder to fit all the info on the inside of them.

Jo, Ive got an embossing board which will make the card stand out in wavy lines or whatever you want - like the powders but it just raises or makes a depression on the card - how about adding that on the right hand side. Let me know if you want to borrow the board x. But I think they are lovely, well done

ooh lovely Jo! How about adding a layer of old gold paper under the duck egg blue (which is gorge by the way) to add the additional frame you were looking for without having to match it to the blue paper? I have a sample of old gold paper I could send you if you wanted to give it a go? I Love the buckle...so cute! and the stitching too!

I've tried the gold paper and it looks pants :0( Maybe it was just because I can't get a nice looking gold paper. They are either too brash or too dirty looking. Looby that sounds like a great idea if you don't mind. x x
CommentAuthorloubyscooby
Course I dont mind. If we meet up next week - Fri pm is best for me - I will bring that (I have 2 boards) and the papers/DVD etc I have. If I bring all my stuff see what you fancy playing with

I think they look very elegant hun. Love that the ribbon has the writing on instead of just plan ribbon with the writing elsewhere. xxx

Yeah I have to admit I'm well made up with the personalised ribbon. I also got it for a very good price as the lady who does it lives down the road from me and we have started to become friends. We are thinking about setting up a wedding shop on ebay together as she has all the stuff to make favor boxes (with die cut outs) can print onto anything like mugs, pens etc and has lots of other crafting things. She just needs someone to help her out as she can't do it all on her own. I need a job with an employer who understands my health (which she does) so it could work out nicely.

Sounds ideal Jo. Let us know how it goes as we all love personalised wedding items! xxx
