Hey finally admitted defeat and gone WW, some of u may remember I was in hospital a lot the end of last year and finally had gallbladder out but had no end of trouble since with digestion problems ands now ibs and now lactose intolerant in all it's taken it's toll and in 6 months put on 5 stone :/
Started weight watchers last week and weighed in at 12 stone 11 :/ not impressed as I've always been slim and my dress a size 10.
Anyways struggled this week as it was my first with the points and being scared ended up not using all my daily points of 30 plus joined gym and didn't know how to work out those activity points either so most of the week I've been under eating and exercising which caught up with me mid week and felt tired and had constant headache.
However I was dreading the scales as I didn't think I had lost BUT I HAVE :D I lost 5pounds in 1 week! so now 12 stone 6
I'm so chuffed :) really feel better for it and know know my goal of getting in to THE DRESS is possible !!!
However was wondering if anyone else on weight watchers plan got any helpful tips and advice they have for staying on track, healthy FILLING meals with low points and how to deal with feeling hungry and what do u snack on that fills u up as fruit last for about 45 mins then hungry again. Also what keeps u motervated when the chocolate bars calling u!!
I'd much appreciate any advice and if any girls in WW pro points plan wanna carry on using this thread as support for each other and updates on their week would be nice to have friends to help get through each week

Hi hun - Congrats on the weight loss so far! That's fab, fingers crossed for you that you reach your goal!
I'm not on any plan but I try to be careful with my snacking - I find low fat cream crackers (plain) works. Also, rice crackers and breadsticks. I like quite plain things anyway so may be a bit bland for some people but they are good xxx

Thanks for the advice hun might try bread sticks will have to look up how many points they are. Well done u for having the will power to go it alone :) if u think of any thing else that good snack foods please let me know could use all the help I can get xxx

Have you tried plain nuts and sunflower seeds? Not sure what points they'd be but a lot of slim girls I know snack on them too xxx

Oh I'll look into seed thanks hun can't have nuts tho :/ I'm a nightmare when it comes to things I can't eat list gets longer all the time lol! Xx
Oooh, popcorn too, that's low cal as long as you don't go for sweet! Salted or plain is good x

Try also drinking a glass of water before every meal, it'll help make you feel fuller with a smaller portion. Also, sometimes I think I'm hungry when all I want is a drink, so I tend to have a glass of water then decide whether I want to eat something.

Don't deny yourself chocolate completely. Just limit yourself to the ones lowest in points think It's a crunchie (but not the ww ones they aren't worth it, they have so little choc on them you need about 3 to start to get a fix)

I've been doing WW for 19 months now, and I have to be honest there will be days where you want to throw yourself off the rails and I did many a time, and still do now, I went through a good 6 months of wasting the weeks but I'm still going and am now using the wedding as my motivation. I am a chocoholic, cakeoholic, you name it! My H2B doesn't understand why when I crave 'bad' food so much I get annoyed at myself and he's even turned round & said he'd happily eat a banana over choc any day! As they have said above, nuts and seeds are good and also definitely don't deny yourself the chocolate, ww isnt a diet its just portion control so you can eat whatever you want, in moderation! I get weighed on a weds evening & use weds night as treat night so once weighed at 630 I go home if we want we have take away or pizza or chocolate etc. I then use Thurs & Fri really good, Sat day really good and then on the night may have a small treat then Sunday, Monday and Tues good again then onto weds. You have to tell yourself its only 3 days etc. I dont know if it will be any help but i tend to have a small breakfast then around midday a banana or some fruit, then a salad with chicken/tuna or something for lunch then mid afternoon some fruit liked tinned peaches etc & then dinner on night. If you keep getting peckish, drink because sometimes the craving for food is actually thirst and that craving passes after about 10 minutes. It may be hard but eventually your body will get used to the routine!
Congratulations on such a good weight loss in your first week, how are you doing now? Still going i hope!?
