So we went to see a wedding venue on saturday thats only 30 mins away from us and OMG we loved it!
The woman kind of showed us around in a whirlwind but she was lovely and within that whirlwind we heard what we needed to hear!
The place is lovely and very romantic, large wooden beams everywhere.... dark red velvet curtains everywhere (which are opened to the next room if we needed more space) and you get married in this room where all the curtains are closed and its candlelight all the way down the aisle.
Oh its just so pretty!
And its only £2500 for the package (which we queried with her if it went up in price as we're not getting married till 2013 or 2014 and she sed no, that if we book it, with paying the deposit the price remains as it is :D BONUS

The only thing we're thinking is that we may need 40 people for the day time, so we're going to ask them if they'll come down on the £60pp if we dont have deserts. The guests can have wedding cake instead :D So if we can get it for say £50pp then thats only an extra £500 still making it only £3000 for the whole wedding! EEEEEEEEEEEEEK!

Just got to see whether the dates we want are available.... we were thinking either 1st September 2013 (as its the closest sunday to our anniversary) or 4th May 2014 (as its the date we first went on holiday together)

Then just have to wait until parents return from holiday to take them to see it and pay the deposit.

I'm hoping so even if its just £10pp they come down by, id be happy!
My parents were looking to give us £5k I think so that would cover everything :-) I still can't stop thinking about it! Even my h2b was like (and hes usually v reserved) and hes like so we'd get married here, then be seated here, and we cud put dance floor here it was like he was imagining the wedding :) made me v happy x

My H2B was like that.... not too bothered on the whole wedding subject but once we saw the venue and he could picture everything it all became very real and he was excited. Once the deposit is paid you can start doing everything else so exciting xx

Haha, i was like that as we viewed our venue in the January with my mum but my dad was paying and wanted to see it first so had to wait until the April for him to come over from Singapore to view it, they were a long 3 months. Then he viewed it and paid deposit straight away but i was so excited and hate waiting. xx

nicola if you have kids at the day time hun like bridesmaids etc ask to pay for a kids meal for them and then it doesnts cost too much more as the kids meals are about £13 i think when we asked about it x

we asked about it hun and they were more then happy to do it for us its a big difference to the price of adult meal and not alot of kids would sit down to eat what they have on the menu anyway did they give you the pack hun with everything in it?? it should have the kids meal price in there hun and what it is they offer x

thats a brill price i paid 4,000 for my reception alone and that only included the same style of drinks and three course meal and dj and room lol ! you got yaself a bargain!! xx

A couple of my friends got married at south causey...their photos looked beautiful and they have both said the service was impeccable.x
