i went out for halloween last night and i wore a jet black wig and everyone said that i loooked well better, really suited me etc . which has kinda got me thinking do i dye my hair jet black, i am white blonde now. is it too much of a drastic change just before the wedding?? baring in mind my dresses suit me with white blonde hair. if i dye my hair black i can never go white blande again as my hair wouldnt be able to take the peroxide and it would snap off

i am stuck with this one, would you ladies have a drastic hair colour change before your weddings??

Can you try your dress on with the wig to see how it looks?

I would wait till after the wedding unless you are certain that the dress will still look good and that you will feel like you in the photos

Depends, how is your hair coloured? Is the white blonde you have atm natural or dyed?

Have you tried your dress on with the black wig on just to see if the colour goes? I am dyeing my hair ruby red for my wedding, but I have started doing it already so I know it goes with my dress. I guess you have to go with your gut feeling, did you like the black on you? You have to feel comfortable on your big day no matter what anyone else says looks good on you. Also has your h2b given his opinion on it? Greg has told me that he wants my hair left long and curly for our wedding, but is happy with the red colour. Hope you get better advice from everyone else! :)

You could find colouring your hair wont look as good as the wig does maybe it was the shape of the wig that made the colour look good on you if that makes sense. I wouldnt personally cause if the colour takes wrong or anything it may end up spoiling your day if you become slef concious, i'd say wait til after your big day :)

ooo good thinking dove why didnt i think of that, will have to wait till april.

i was thinking do it after the wedding but then the wedding pics will be with me with white blonde hair and that wont be me anymore if that makes sense. i have nautural brown hair but i have been blonde for 13 years, all my adult life, i really dont know weather to do it before so that the wedding pics will match what i look after the wedding or do it after the wedding and have photos that dont look like me.

So your hair is dyed? Thing is if your hair is as fragile as to snap, I would suggest not dyeing it anymore - not even your usual haircolor as it sounds to me like your hair is very damaged and needs time to recover. If you keep dyeing your hair, it will not get any better I'm afraid. Going from white to black also takes more steps than any other dye to set. First you'd have to go red/brown to give your hair pigment, and then dye a black over that. And this would have to be done several times over in order to get the perfect coverage...and with your hair already being so fragile - I wouldn't recommend it.

Could always try going natural and letting your hair recuperate, then once it has recovered, dye it whatever colour you like.

ataraxia- my hair is white blonder peroxide!!!

the hair dresser will have to do it as will need dying red stripping and then jet black, but i go and see her once a month any way for my roots now!

when i first met h2b he said he hated blondes!!!! i showed him last night and sent him a pic of me witht the wig on and he said i looked lovely but scary ... but i hoping that was the red eyes and the blood on my face!!

I would definitely give your hair a break. I used to be a peroxide white blonde as well but had to let my hair recover... bleach will destroy hair faster than anything else you can do to it, and once you go past a certain point, you risk serious hair damage. I know it sounds bad but if you give your hair some time to grow out and use lots of nice essential oils and treatments on it, it will grow out and stop snapping. You have seven months until the wedding which is plenty of time... my hair was beautiful within 3 months of stopping the bleach and is now stronger than it has been in years.

Then when your hair is recovered, you can go any colour you like for the wedding :)

the hair dresser only does the root and not on my scalp and weave in about 200 foils so that non goes on my scalp. its never dry and have no split ends its pretty silky smooth as the hair dresser puts treatments on it etc.

yes i have a piccie i will up load it .. dont laugh it was my halloween costume an i was katie price but katie price that had died from too much plastic surgery( it was for a fancy dress comp and i can 2nd!!)

Maybe if the wig goes with the dress then you could wear a nice wig on the day, and then if you change your mind last minute you can take it off, rather than risk dying it and it not being how you want and then hating it but not being able to change it

Could even try a nice dark brown colour. Black can be difficult to work with sometimes, brown is easier to match up make-up and things like that.

peroxide is nasty i used to have it actually on my scalp 10 years ago and it caused alopecia on my its evil stuff and should be banned.

yeah it takes about 4 hours to have my hair died it realllllllly annoys me so boring

i really have no idea how i came up with it , i think because my sister was going to another party as holly willa b o o by she said you have that black wig why dont you go as jordan whos b o o b job has gone wrong so it became possessed dead jordan. the person that won the comp did Mr T and it was brilliant he covered him self in black face paint and really was good i was really gutted thou!!

I think it's when you start looking at photos of yourself and going 'God, what is happening there!?' lol. That was the turning point for me... a picture of me where my hair and my skin looked almost the same colour and it wasn't at all flattering and I was all 'Shops...dye... NOW!' haha.

Haha Holly Willa-bo-oby :P I like it. Oh awesome, it does look really nice on you!

you could have the white blonde hair for your "angelic" pre-wedding life, and the black hair for the after-wedding lol. I think (and I know the photo was blurry) that the white is better on you tbh with your skin tone BUT try your dress on with the wig and see how it goes, I am only 1 opinion!

I'm going back to blonde for my wedding, January this year for the first time in my life i dyed my hair and i went chocolate brown however i find i look rather pale especially as i'm naturally blonde! But as you have a wig of the colour hair you'd like as Dove said Take it with you then you will know how you will look :0), have fun dress shopping! (sorry for edit spelling errors)

please please please dont dye your hair black... i dyed it about 4 years ago and although i have managed to lighten it you need to completly grow it out to get rid of it! i love my hair back but trying to bleach it back to normal is a nightmare! ive cut my hair off really short now to get the condition back into it... make sure you are 100% sure as it doesnt suit everyone. try wearing a wig for a few days lol... hope this helps xxx
