I know its not tradition and my maid of honour is my sister. We have decided what we are going to do for my hen night, but thing is my sister is younger than me and studying law combined with french at uni, so shes probably very tied down to her studies! Its a bit worrying because I'd like to get it booked now, and she is a bit ditzy with it all..I feel like I should just say ill do it myself, but I dont mean it in a nasty way... I just want to makesure its all booked so people have enough time to pay for their places!

Its not that my sister wants to do something I dont want...however like u, i would NOT want strippers etc. We r doing something called bistro live...they do it in Milton keynes, nottingham and leicester, and its a 3course meal with cocktails, table dressed up for hen night, and then a live band and disco later on..and combined with a hotel package only costs £50 odd quid... plus ur all responsible for ur own payments and if someone u invited doesnt pay...they just change the size of the table..its pretty cool really... I just want to get it up and running, so people can start paying it off online..but my sister is set on doing it...but she isnt doing anything!! lol xx

Get it done and just explain to her that you appreciate that her main focus is her studies at the moment and so you thought you would take the pressure off

She would most likely appreciate the pressure being taken off her - and it's not like you haven't chosen what you want to do.

Maybe you could organise the actually booking, deposits etc and she could sort out any extras? Xx

MrsWearn just organise and don't worry, Say to your little sis that you don't want her to worry about it while she is studying. She'll probably be relieved! Lot's of people organise their own hen dos nowadays. I think it's totally normal. x

I'm organising mine, no-one said anything about organising it for me so I just went ahead and sorted it myself. I'm am only having a small wedding with no bridesmaids but I've got a massive family and lots of friends and none of them said they would sort it out. I think it's better doing it yourself anyway coz you get to do what you want to do and what you can afford x
