I dont know whether its because we are getting closer to the day, but I'm having a right flap about my dress.. Im worried that im going to look fat, too old or that it just wont suit me whatsoever. Its too late to change the dress and i fell in love with it when i tried it on, and again when i went for my fitting but now im panicking. What do i do? :(

Ignore your friend, it's nasty to tell someone their choice of wedding dress is for older brides. There is no type of dress for particular ages, she is probably just jealous! I think it's so mean for someone to say that!

I think we all go through that babe. I LOVED my dress and then I hadn't looked at it or tried it on again until 5 months before the wedding when I had my first fitting. I was convinced I was going to hate it. I put it on again and it didn't feel right, or look right. But then, why would it - it was about 2 sizes too big and 7.5 inches too long LOL! My seamstress worked her magic and when she came round to deliver it just 2 weeks before the wedding I was really scared that I would really hate it. I didn't. You chose your dress for a reason - it's your dress and it makes you feel like a million dollars. I suspect you feel especially anxious as you've worked so hard to lose a lot of weight too, but I'm sure you will look like a princess babe. Do you have a pic of your dress (I'm a nosy so and so)?

i dont have a pic of me in my dress :( gutted hehe but its ellis bridal 11228....it was my princess dress and i cried when i tried it on as i knew it was the one... So can i boil it down to anxiousness? Ive been like this with pretty much everything, make up, hair....i even got to a point of researching lipo suction last night hahaha..

I felt the same hun, I was so worried I'd look like the Michelin man but I had to remind myself what size my clothes labels all say. It's only natural to be anxious about how you look but I can tell you from your photos, especially of your hair trial you will look stunning xxx

you have the jitters its official! just looked up your dress and its beautiful how the hell is it for an older bride!!! i got months to go but i still have waves of worry but im going to look how im going to look not much i can do to change it so im not going to worry! i have a blooming good corset lol and few months of being good.! the jitters wil pass and the excitement will begin!! 6 weeks to go!! whoop whoop

Yeah i can see your point, but when i met h2b i was a size 8...didnt suit me being that small but still much smaller than what i was lol and i felt more comfortable smaller...and i seemed to think h2b wanted me the way i was when we met, he has since told me that he doesnt want me any less than i am now

Men actually don't like really skinny girls.
When hubby and I first started dating I was a size 6 to 8, he actually watched me picking at my food on our 3rd date and I'll never forget him asking me what the big deal was with size 0 as he thought it wasn't a good look. That was after he commented that he had never seen wrists as small as mine. Needless to say that at the time I didn't mention the size 0 dress I had (which still fits now but I think it is vanity sizing).
I'm now a big 8 small 10, I'll admit I have my"fat days" like most girls do but I remind myself it is better to be healthy physically and mentally (which means enjoying food and exercise) than to be a stick insect who can't enjoy a slice of cake or bag of chips.

Omg it's gorgeous !!! It is not for older brides at all ! It's flowy and classy and elegant.. She's probably just jealous that you look amazing.. My SiLs 'best friend' tried to talk her out of her amazing perfect gorgeous dress into these horrible boring plain dresses.. Luckily she didn't listen to her !! You don't listen to you friend either !! Xxx

Not true about men not liking skinny girls. Some men don't like skinny girls, some do. I know men who wouldn't touch a size 12 with a barge pole and some that wouldn't touch a size 6 with a barge pole either! Each to their own! And rightly so... has to be someone for everyone!

I loved my dress when I first tried it on, when I went for my fitting two weeks ago I didn't like it at all, it just felt wrong, I felt fat and frumpy in it my hair felt a mess and I had no make up on, but everyone was telling me it was lovely (even my daughter) so im sticking with it, last fitting soon so going with my hair done and make up on xx
