Basically at the company i work at there is only two of us the director/company owner and me and so holidays can be quite difficult to book. I would prefer to save my holidays for the honeymoon/break after the wedding, as my wedding is a saturday and i work monday-friday this would mean i would be working the day before (to finish at 5pm). Has anybody done this or is it a stupid idea and try to get it off?
TIA x

I personally think you'll be too wrapped up in making sure everything is done, getting everything ready to take to the venue and getting yourself ready to even think about working. I had 2 days off before my wedding and they were both manic trying to get all the wedding stuff complete.
Totally your choice though and if you think you would be able to get everything ready the weekend before and evenings then I am sure you will manage it.

I'd personally take the day before off, or have a half day if possible AT LEAST.

The week running up to when I got married I was full time in uni every day apart from Wednesday and it was full on as it was the start of our 3rd year. I left uni the day before at around 415pm. As long as you are organised you can do it.

I had the week before my wedding off, my sister and mother both took the week off and came up and helped and it was still an organisational nightmare! didnt get to bed untill midnight as we were still setting up. Mind you my mothers sole role was to stop me killing my mother in law and to attempt to keep my mother in law from interfering and causing chaos (no matter how well meaning).

If you're super organised then it's possible to work up to the day before but personally I wouldn't. I took a while week off before my wedding x

I have just spent the best part of 8hours getting my venue dressed. If you have a wedding venue dresser you neednt worry but I would highly recomend a day off to get the last min bits sorted out. Today has been hectic for me!
