Hey fellow planners... I'm trying to word out our menu for the information page to put in the invites, we've got the wording for the starters and the main, how can I word out the "dessert table" to make it sound impressive and appetising?

Hey Kel, personally, if I saw 'dessert table' on a menu, I'd be all over it LOL! It sounds good to me just like that :)
Vegas baby!

It was just a pain trying to work out how to word choices for the first two then how to put in dessert table without it sounding like its just been slapped in there...
I decided on setting it out like this:
Selection of canapés and arrival drink
One choice of starter and main per guest from this list: Starters: Warm three cheese&pesto tartlet served with a salad garnish Or Farmhouse pork and liver pâté accompanied by a chunky fruity chutney &melba toast
Mains: Braised rolled belly pork in aromatic spices & served with roast potatoes Or Free range bacon wrapped chicken supreme served with a Provençal sauce & herb roasted baby potatoes Or Vegetarian option (to be decided)
To be followed by a dessert table and tea or coffee
Evening reception to consist of a hog roast served in a large bap with cracked black pepper & sea salt crackling, sage & onion stuffing and apple sauce. To be accompanied by: Broccoli&stilton tartlet Mixed green salad Country coleslaw Baby new potatoes&chive salad
Fresh fruit basket
How does that sound?

I wasn't quite sure what you meant but now I see your set out, makes perfect sense :-) looks great. Alternative wording could be: 'Selection of desserts(sweets) from the sweet (dessert) table'
I like the way you put it Almost Mrs B. It might me worth mentioning if your dessert table has a theme.

No there isn't a theme,it will have things like banoffie pie, fudge cake, profiteroles,a couple of cheesecakes and a few others...about 10 choices

How about "your choice of dessert from the tempting selection available the dessert table. The selection will include a savoury alternative of cheese & crackers, and dairy & gluten free options" (but only state that if its true - wouldn't be fair if you put that and there wasn't).

ugh after 6 weeks of dieting, I'd be lining up all of those for my personal dessert table ;-) Sounds totally lush x
