Hi, Im sorry if I sound silly or anything, but my h2b and I want a woodland wedding and I found the perfect spot near othery that over looks fields and a lovely view of the surroundings. It also over looks the cemetery that my mother was buried in, only thing being is that we have no clue if it would actually be a recognised legal wedding location or how to make it happen etc? I was wondering if anybody could possibly give us some advice?

It really is. There's an arch amongst the trees that would be perfect for the ceremony. The thing being is that we don't know who we need to go to or what we need to do to make it happen =/ xoxox
You will only be able to have a blessing in your chosen location and will have to visit the registry office to actually get married, you have to sign the register indoors in a licensed venue. For the blessing you would have to contact the vicar/priest who covers the parish of your chosen location.

Unfortunately in England you can't legally marry outside it has to be in a standing structure. You'd probably be allowed a blessing but it wouldn't be legal to have your actual ceremony there.

if you contact the local council for that area they should be able to tell you if it is licensed to hold a wedding there if not you can pay to do it but thats not cheap xx

Have you looked into having a treehouse venue? They can look stunning and would definitely have a woodland feel to it xxx

Thank you for your advice. We have tried looking for a tree house venue, but there apparently isn't any in our area that we can find :( xoxox

We've found a place called mausel house that has some gorgeous woodland areas, I'm waiting to hear back from my f.m.I.l with a date that she's free to view the place. I'm so excited!! :) yeah, we want to get married on March 23rd next year. I know it's a Monday, but it's the day that Jay (my h2b) proposed to me:) xoxox

That sounds fab, if they have a ceremony room, you should be able to discuss with the registrar to do the blessing outside for you and then do the legalities of the ceremony inside.
CommentAuthorTrasaD
That's what I'm hoping. We originally wanted to have a friend be ordained for the ceremony, but apparently it's not valid in Englad?=/ xoxox

Hi all, I've found some venues that have some gorgeous woodland sceneries so I'm going to be visiting them soon:) they all seem to be hotels that require booking all the rooms though? xoxox
