As some of you may be aware I was recently let down by our venue (cricket club) after they refurbished and reduced the maximum capacity of quests allowed on the premises. Anyway with only 5 months to go the last few days we have been frantically ringing round other local places trying to sort out a new venue. We have been very cheeky to be honest as other sports and social clubs were already booked, so we were ringing hotels and asking for huge discounts, in the thinking that they would rather have someone booked even though we were offering less money. Well it has really paid off, it's definitely more than we were going to pay for the cricket club and buffet there but for an additional£400 we have got this...

Thanks. I can't believe our luck to be honest and as I said we we're very cheeky about it, most of them just laughed at us but just shows what you can get with a little persuasion. I have never been good with bartering as I am quite shy but think I should take it up from now on lol. All that I need to do now is ring the cricket club to say we wont be using them now. xx
