Hi all. Just wondering if there are particular people you are supposed to be the two witnesses? I was thinking of asking the two moms? Who is everyone else having? x

It's up to you I think! My parents had their dads as witnesses, some other people have their mums and others have their best man and maid of honour. Or you could have 2 completely random people - totally up to you!

We're having our dads as witnesses, thought it would be nice since the mums tend to help out a bit more.

Tradionally your witnesses are your best man and maid of honour but these days as long as they are 16 and over you can have who ever you want!
We are having our mums as witnesses as it involves them more on the day!

Hails, where we are you have to be 18 to sign. Which is a pain as I want my sister but she is 16 :( x

Coconut - I'm not sure on the legal validity of it, but when I was primary school age I signed the register at my mums wedding, in addition to the two adult signees, so ask whether your sister can sign it as we'll as two adults? Things may have changed since then, I don't know, but its worth asking if its something you really want :-)
