Ok... Now this may seem like a random/silly question....
When attending wedding fairs, do you take your OH... or do you go with your female friends...
Would it be odd if i brought my OH with me... im not sure... i've never been to one and not sure of the requirements..

I would only ever consider going with OH! It's as much his day as it is mine and I want him to be involved in every aspect of the planning process (plus he actually wants to be heavily involved). If your OH is not that bothered about it, then go with your girl friends, but I know my OH would feel horribly pushed out if I did that. We went to the National Wedding Show together a few weeks ago.
It's not odd at all - it's you and your OH getting married, not you and your girl friends! x

I don't think it matters at all really but if he wants to go, them bring him? There might be something there you like and want his opinion on. I've been surprised at how much of the smaller details my OH has been interested in! I went to see about the floers on Saturday and didnt think he'd want to come but he did! Some guys might find the fairs boring which is understandable so it's also a good day out to have with your friends to get ideas, e.t.c.

That is very true... i should probably involve him a bit... lol... No i understand.. didn't know if there was some requirement..
I am thinking to attend my first fair this weekend and now i know,i think i will attend the first one with my OH.
Thank you ladies...

My other half always comes with me. My mum came to one as well as my OH. The only way I would go without him is if he was working and it was a big one off fayre. Even then, I wouldn't make any decisions without him.
That said, we are all different and some people (not just men) have no interest in the minor details, want surprises, etc. Whatever suits the two of you is the right thing to do.
I suppose it depends on how much input he is putting in to it, or is he just not bothered and happy to go with whatever you go with, mine was like that. Every time I asked him something I would not get any ideas from him. Also, if you don't already have your dres, you might get an idea of what he thinks he would like to see you in.

Myfirstwedding fair i went with my mam and MIL and actually saw most of the things I wanted there, so would have been good for Oh to be there. However after a couple more I realised lots of men were going too and although myOH didn't believe me and thought it was for girls, I did manage to get him to one and he said it was better than he thought (thinking it was just for girls lol) he enjoyed a couple after that.

I went to my first one with my sister in law, mother in law and maid of honor... Hubby wasn't really interested in fairs and we didn't book anything from a fair but it was nice to have a look, the only time he went to a local fair was when our cake lady decided to exhibit there and we had to go pick up our cake samples x

The first one I went to I took h2b, but more recently there was one at the 5* hotel opposite my mum's house so I went just with her for a girly afternoon out,

Id probs make it a girly thing tho if i was going to go for a look rather than a specific

I've only been to fairs with my OH, partly because he's interested and involved with the whole wedding process, and partly because the female members of my family have shown no interest in going with me. Even if they were though, I'd still want to go with him because it's his day too :)

I only ever attended 1 wedding fair and surprise surprise it was hubby who dragged me there, I wasn't really bothered about going but actually good job he did convince me to go because that's where we found our car company.

It's probably a good idea to go with him as my hubby saw a magician when we picked up our cake samples who was amazing however he was already booked on our day... But he may not have been six months before when I'd seen him at the same wedding fair with the girls x

Talking about magicians, it was really beneficial for us with OH being with me. I had always wanted a magician but OH didn't see the point and wasn't keen on the idea. After seeing a magician at the national wedding show, he straight away said "I want a magician".. So we booked him on the day and got £100 off for doing so. If he hadn't have seen him we wouldn't be having a magician!! xx

I have been to two wedding fairs up to now. One of them I went with my FMIL as it was her who had the leaflet for it and suggested we go and the second, which was two weeks ago, I went with h2b as it was actually held at our venue so we thought we would have a look and see what was there and what the venue looked like dressed up. I have to say it was a slight let down and it didn't really give us any ideas because we have everything planned out already to how we want. On the other hand it did give us both an idea on the time that we have left before we need to start booking things and how far in advanced things normally get booked. It actually made me want to start dress shopping early next year rather than late next year! It is entirely your decision who you take with you but it may be more beneficial if you at least have someone from your wedding party i.e. h2b or bridesmaids as they will be able to ask questions that you may have missed or they may be able to help you book things etc. and help you with certain decisions x

We only went to a couple of wedding fayres and we both went together. However if I had been planning to look at wedding dresses I might have gone without him. Because I did the dress shopping with my mum and godmother we were really using the fayres to get ideas and quotes for everything else. There was one that I had planned to attend alone as it was an afternoon that my husband couldn't make, but in the end it didn't seem to exist, despite being on a website. I would only have picked up leaflets and got quotes if I had gone on my own.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

My OH came along to a couple with me but they really weren't his thing. The only other one I went to was with my Sister and it was rubbish, but we did get some good ideas from it.

I went to lots of wedding fayre, some with him and some with just my parents but that was only when he couldn't get the day off. He wanted to come when he could; it is better for them t be with you so if you see anything then you can book there and then rather then potentially missing a show offer by having to go back home and go through the leaflets together :)

I went with either my Mum or my Bridesmaids. H2b is involved in all the decision making but he would have absolutely hated the wedding fairs and I am so glad I didn't take him! :)
