I have found a great site full of random facts about wedding traditions including:
'In Great Britain, it was considered good luck for the bride to kiss a chimney sweep on her wedding day. He supposedly had special powers, and when he cleans the chimney, he also sweeps away evil spirits.k'
So girls do we know any chimney sweeps???? I love the old traditions, what do u think??? xxxx

I've heard that tradition and although edinburgh is called Auld Reekie (cause of the soot and smoke from the "lums") Dont think there's any coal fires anymore so no chimney sweeps :(
