Ok so I've got my hair and make up trial booked for 9th May at 12pm, H2B will be getting home at around 4pm... Do I have a shower and wash my hair before he gets home so that he doesn't see how I will look on the day or shall I let him see it and ask his opinion? What are you doing girls? Are your H2Bs gonna see your hair and make up before you walk down the aisle towards him or are you keeping it under wraps? X

I'm probably going to keep it under wraps but its only bad luck for him to see the dress so its up to you really if you'd feel more comfortable getting his opinion :) I just think it'll have more impact on the day if he doesnt see anything about how I'll look until then. The only details he knows so far are I'm wearing a veil and my dress has a train.

Believe me Hun if he sees you he won't remember by the day and besides the fact that you will look very different in jeans n top to your wedding dress with jewellery etc ....
Well he's convinced that my dress is huge and poofy like my big fat gypsy wedding with long lace sleeves... It's not lol here it is!

I think I'd prefer my fiance to know as little as possible about how I will look, so that it's all part of the surprise. I think he knows that I've bought a veil, and he's seen the tiara because the timings worked out better for the lady to deliver it while I was round at his. He knows a little of what the dress looks like, because he knows that there is champagne in it which I want to match in his waistcoat, and he knows it has a train, but other than that I don't think he will know anything until the day.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.

I'll be letting my OH see the hair and make up. His nan doesn't want him to see the dress before hand so he's being careful to avoid hearing me talk to his sisters when they ask about the dress. His nan hasn't said anything about har and make up so he's happy to see it and give his opinion.

I would keep it in for alsong as possible as thats part of the trial to see that it lasts and does not fall out after a hour. also men and hair, they don't really take much notice.

I would leave it in and sleep in it if possible just say it's one style you were trying he might think you'll end up with something diff on the day itself x
CommentAuthorDonnaH39
It's best to leave it in to see if it lasts or not, no point washing it to stop him seeing it early and then having it fall out after a couple of hours on the day. Ideally it would be nice if my H2B didn't see my hair after my trial but that isn't really an option... unless I try and book it for when he has his stag do... hmmm

Aww I love your dress! I think you should keep your hair and makeup a surprise too so he can see the whole finished look when it comes together on the day x

Does he know if you're having a trial? If not, you could say you had your hair cut.
Love the dress by the way! :-)

Mine will be here for the trial.. But I doubt he'll pay much attention or remember after the day! So I'll prob keep it on especially as it means can see if it lasts long enough! X

I want to keep everything a secret! I'm having my hair and makeup trial the weekend of his stag do but it's personal preference at the end of the day. As some of the other girls say you will look so different on the day anyway x

The flower thingy is more like at the top of my thigh lol I think I'm gonna keep it in/on as my hair is a right pain, sleeping in it will be the ultimate test I think! Thanks for the comment on the dress girls I love it and it makes me feel so special :) xx

I trialed my hair on Thursday (oh was away for the night) so I slept in in to test it-wanted to see how long I could keep it in for! And he saw it when he came home!! It don't bother me he's seen it!! It like when we buy a dress,it might look lovely on the hanger but nothing compared to when we've got all the accessories, shoes, make up and hair done too!! Seeing me with my hair half fallen out and in my pjs is no comparison to what it going to look like on our day lol x

I'm thinking along the same lines as several of the girls, the idea of a make up/hair trial is not only to get the right look for the wedding but also to see what lasts. Is there no way you could have an early morning appointment or have it done at a fiends house and stay there well into the evening if you really don't want him to see it. I haven't got my make up trial any time soon but from speaking to friends they were advised to keep the hair style and make up on for as long as you would expect to wear it on the day if possible. This way you can see if it will last as you don't want to get half way through your big day and find your hair is starting to flop and make up is going patchy. x

Could you go out for the evening with a friend? That way you can see how long you hair lasts and you get to show I off too :-)

I asked H2B what he thinks I should do and he said to leave it in to make sure my hair stays in place, he said he would rather see it because, and I quote "if you look like a drag queen cos you've got too much on I'll tell you" hahaha see ladies, now isn't that love!?
