So ive sent a couple of emails around to a few local hotels asking about weddings, i found easier emailing as i could set out a list of questions and have the email on hand to see prices/info they give me and because saved me a little bit of time rather then ringing around them all.
BUT why i bothered i dont know half just email back with the EXCACT same info listed on their web pages, ignored pretty much all my questions and gave me no idea of prices. ARG really annoys me! Its not like im asking alot just simple questions about capacity, prices of sit down meal/buffet, if they have a bar etc and literally its just like they copied and pasted from their own site!

If they do send me prices ive noticed half dont even bother to write a proper email back simply "find the information requested attached".....i think its pretty unproffesional as theire big hotels!

Sorry for rant had to get it off my chest ha :)

think ill start ringing from now on :( x

I would phone just write all the question down before hand

I found exactly the same thing when I emailed places, you really do have to call them and speak to someone xx

I had that with a local hotel we were considering for the reception. I emailed asking for info and was just sent a link to their wedding page, nothing else. Lazy sods! We're going elsewhere now to a place that could be bothered to deal with our enquiries :)

have your email questions in from of you every time you ring so you don't forget to ask them

i too had this problem it so fustrating when all u want is simple info and they make it so hard to get it lol x x x

my venue- when i try and contact them i always get very short sharp replies like they cant be bothered so it is bery important to go with a venue who are happy to answer any question that you may have! xx

i`m still waiting fir a wedding coordinater to get back to me from last may !!!!!!!!!!

i know .....we went to a venue looked it over .... had a meal ,and asked a few questions and was told the the wedding coordinatoer would be in touch the following tuesday ...last was may 29th last year ,,,and still nothing lol lol although we have now booked else where i did think of contacting that venue and asking why it had taken so long

We got really annoyed with the first hotel we were gonna have as our venue - it's one of the biggest, so you'd expect most professional, ones round here!! But they had 3 wedding co-ordinators and they all had to report to a manager!! So whenever we tried to sort anything out it was "we'll get back to you on that" and then took ages to actually get back to us - and they still more often then not didn't actually answer our queries!!!! We got so annoyed with the way we were treated we told them to stuff it!! And I'm so glad we did, as we both absolutely love our new venue now, and we speak directly to the owner who is unbeliavably helpful!!!!
