My lovely H2b and I have been searching for a new place to live when we get married in Aug. We were thinking of buying but dont have a deposit so we thought we would try the keyworker homebuy thingy where the governement lend you up to 30%.
When i saw that i though 'thats brilliant, exacly what we could do' - wrong! Theres only certain homes in they will let you have, usually new builds, which are mostly flats and we want a house. There isnt any in my area and there are none soon to be finished, so the only option is to save for a deposit! so unfair!
why is it that people seem to be able to buy a god damn house, without hassle and I, who work bloody hard and probably earn more than them cant. They even seem to be able to **** off on holiday when we cant.............
All I want is a lovely house (which I own) to fill it with babies... is that too much to ask????
Ok rant over. thanks for listening haha xxxxxxxxxxx

i hated buying our flat we saved up so hard and could only afford a flat said we were looking at new build flats but that wasn't good enough needed a high deposit as they're "high risk", so found a flat that was 24 years old so odler than me but oh i need to check thats ok... what?! and then came the conversation of my job and is commission based and that could be tricky!

its like they didnt want my money! all i did was try to buy a place in the normal way its all rubbish xx

When I wanted to buy I had to take on a second job to save up the money. I was getting up at 5am and getting in the house at midnight ready to get up the next day again. I worked 7 days a week but got there in the end. Its the only way you can do it sometimes but it is worth it once you have got the keys to your new house.

I've been dream searching houses on the internet today, I have found the perfect house, but it's 1.9million. Hmmm maybe I'l have to reign in my ideas. I think we need to save around 14k - 16k to get a mortgage so that doesn't sound soooo bad...its just when you factor in the house im in atm needs a new kitchen and bathroom and we've a wedding to pay for....14k sounds like an awful lot when it's on top of all that

    I'm now a married woman
    I have a gorgeous husband
    Whats to do now
Theres no more wedding planning to do

We can just afford the rent on the place we are in with the wedding so i am hoping we dont have to leave soon. As it is martyns grandads house but when he passes we have to move out as we wont be able to afford the rent and i refuse to go back to living with our parents again. So i am hoping his grandad sticks around as long as he can. I know that sounds mean but his grandad is very strong minded and said to martyn the other week he is only staying this long to pee off his daughters.LOL (they only want his money)

I know exactly what you mean! I dont think we will be looking to buy 4 a VERY long time. We have a flat at the mo but our lil girl is getting big so fast n i would love for her to have a garden. Will have to leave her at my moms lol.
Joey have you heard of try before you buy? Basically as it says on the tin, you rent at a lower cost than national levels in your area & you set up a plan with the housing association to save for a deposit in order to buy at a later date. I think you can have up to 5 years to save while you are in the house.

awww im so glad its not just me! haha Rags, maybe youll win the lottery my love and then you can buy you dream house :D
I think we will just have to rent a house untill they bring back 100% mortgages or until someone lends us £20k.
At least We all have our lovely weddings to look forward to (H2b just said that, bless him)

most developers do the same schemes look on their sites were waiting for the new builds next to us to finish so we can get them

we had homebuy it was crap too many requirements & then they ran out of funding!
