Just curious really, is there any specific reason/ meaning behind your wedding date? Ours is the 3rd, 3 is our number...3 months for him to ask me out, 3 days to kiss, 3 weeks for something else :P and 3 years he proposed! and we picked august mainly because its hot hahaha

It has no meaning to us, but we picked it as it was the first weekend where the registrar and the venue could do the time we wanted at the same time. Also we are hoping that it will be weather like last year at the beginning of October, however, seeing a long range forecast this is not to be

No reason, just it was cheaper 2 go2 turkey later on in sept, so we r leaving the 26th sept and getting married on the 4th as that was 1 of the requested dates we could have. U have 2 b in the country a few days b4 plus 2 do all the paperwork (which takes a whole day) lol So we endedup with the 4th of October! Never thought id get married in October but there u go, its great 4 us, different and not ur usual June, July, August wedding. x
I don't know how we picked our date... I originally wanted an autumn wedding, but h2b wanted it to be before August bank hol weekend....then he realised York races were on that day....and decided he didn't want it in the middle of the football season....so he picked the 30th of Augustst xx

chose our date as i didnt want an uneven year number and needed time to save.We have been together 10years this year got together 23rd feb 2002.did think of having feb29th this year to be different but didnt want the cold weather and the venue is down a steep hill so if had snow would all be stuck. picked 20.10.2012 a date that rolls of the tongue really and that it would be half term for my son and h2bs sister whos a teacher and finds it hard to get time off outside of school term. sorry ive gone on a bit . xx oh and cheaper

We chose the 2nd August 2014. We chose 2014 as I'm still studying, but in 2014 will be 2/3 of the way through my PhD, and we'll just about be able to afford to move out (didn't want to wait until 2015 as we're itching to move in together). We chose August 2nd as my mum and MOH both work at schools, and so the summer holidays is easier for them. We also wanted a Saturday wedding in the summer :-)

I really wanted a friday the 13th as we got engaged on april fools day lol, but there arent any in the time of year I want to book ours in 2014 though we're gunna have to do it over the school holidays, or half term in October so we can go on honeymoon and my mum can take my daughter away! Either that or she'll just have to miss a week of school... can't say I'm thrilled at that idea, but I don't want to have to put it off til 2015 ):

We would have loved to get married on the 18th July, but not on a Saturday for another 3yrs, and we wanted A Saturday wedding so.....then we wanted the 18th may whIch was when my oh proposed to me, but it wasn't meant to b coz the date was already booked at our venue, and my sisters 21st birthday is on the 25th which is the week after, so we just settled for the week before on the 11th :-) x

We wanted December really as I love Christmas time. Although if we'd pushed we'd have got the leave, a lot of our friends wouldn't have been able to, so we picked the last saturday of november so no issues re leave and it's the start of all things christmasy :) x

The 29th seems to be our date! He asked me out on the 29th, proposed on the 29th, and we wanted a september wedding and no word of a lie saturday the 29th was the only date free for our evening venue! I was very close to him and always thought he would be there on my wedding day. He also love h2b. So we can share our special day with him still and know he is still part of our wedding. x

Nothing special about our date in particular ........well it is now because it's our wedding date .............basically we wanted May as it's usually decent weather, not too hot, not too cold .........then the Church gave us 3 dates on a Saturday as we wanted a Saturday wedding, within a couple of days the parish priest e-mailed me and said there was only the 11th left as the other two had now gone and asked if we wanted to take that date before it went too so we just grabbed it ......so 11th May 2013 it is.

we liked the idea of a may (summer ish ) wedding and then decided to have it exactly between our bdays...his is in april and mine in july...we worked out how many days between and then counted to find the middle which was Friday 24th May, and as wanted weekend we've gone for the Sunday 26th May :) also as bank hol, extra day off! Also our anniversary is in Nov, so every 6months we get a nice 'anniversary'! x

As a teacher we were limited on dates, especially as we wanted to go on the honeymoon the day after the wedding. We didn't want to get married in the summer as the weather is to unrealiable, so we choose April when it will most likely rain!

Initially we weren't bothered on the date but then realised 10th August was a Saturday and 9 years to the day we meet so our 1st year wedding anniversary will also be 10 years together so thought this was quite sweet. It also helps being the summer holidays as alot of children so families are staying down the week and having a holiday after our wedding which is nice xxx

We were given a good price for our venue for March. We hadnt planned on marrying until later next year but couldnt pass on the offer. I wanted the last Sat in March which was available along with every other Sat in March. I rang the venue that morning,and by teatime,only the Sat 2nd March was available by which time my heart was already into getting married there so we took it! We aren't honeymooning though till July because of school holidays and holidays from work,but it will give us something else to look forward to!
