i was looking thru the bay of e and came across some beautiful bouquets. Up until then, i was having fresh flowers but wen i was speaking to a friend of mine who's a florist, she told me the particular flowers that i wanted were either hard to get or that you could nt get real roses that were purple. Plus, the price for real flowers were ridiculous prices. So, i don 't no wat to do now. I showed some work collegues the silk one's on my fon,and they thought they were real.

Im having silk, just because I can get them early and make sure I'm happy with them. Dont want to get fresh ones done and realise I dont like them 2 hours before the wedding! Florist I asked said she would deliver them at 12 for a 2pm wedding! What if they were the wrong colour or something else was wrong?! Not risking it, mine are coming next week hopefully and will store them until the big day!
CommentAuthormrsb2b
that's wat i thought too janey, plus, i was speaking to a girl in work who got married in march, she had real flowers, and she said that after the reception, her flowergirls were playing with them, and now they re in her spare bedroom, dried up and dead, she paid £1,200 for something to lie in a bedroom. At least with silk etc, they ll last forever.
CommentAuthorJane
Absolutely - and we are going on honeymoon the day after so wont even have any time to enjoy fresh flowers after the big day!

we have foam, they look really nice, and alot cheaper, i would have loved to have had real, but the budget would not stretch that far and being as we were not getting married till 4, thought they may have been past their best by the time of the wedding and i can keep mine forever. some of the websites have some wonderful bouquets x

Real for us- nothing beats the feel, the smell and the freshness...
Also I'm not sentimental and have no intention of keeping things like bouquets- just one small keepsake box plus photo albums.
Now a extremely happy German housewife and now a Mother!!!!

I'm having all real flowers but will be getting a replica of my bouquet made from silk flowers for a keepsake. My fresh bouquet will be going on my mum and sisters grave the day after the wedding
CommentAuthorAtaraxia
Silk as well, I wanted real but seeing as we're doing it abroad and not keen on trying to find a supplier there, it's just easier to do silk!
Got married 27th June and blessed on July 5th 2012

I'm having real flowers, some bought, some from the garden, mixed with fruit, like granny smiths with pink roses. xo
CommentAuthorMrsCandlin2B
I'm thinking of having silk flowers.. just because they can be bought well in advance without dying and they are cheaper.

im having silk flowers but real bouqet for me. :)

I have already got my foam roses and I love them! I always thought that I would have real as I don't usually like fake but these are so real like that it made me change my mind about them. I'm so pleased that I liked them as it not only saved me money but it also means I get to keep them forever and I don't have to worry about the florist being late on the day as we already have everything. The only real flowers I am having is for the venue as that is part of the package deal that we had.
