Well done you. I thought I had it bad enough doing 25 invites, thank yous and 60 OOS 60 place cards etc. I can't imgaine having to do 80!

Well done! We sent ours out first week of Jan and have had 1 formal RSVP back! Everyone on H2Bs side has either said yes in person or via email or facebook. However no-one on my side of the family (apart from my mum) has said they are coming. Feel a bit let down really, I know the RSVP date isnt until the 1st March but I had hoped to have some sort of response from my side. Never mind. x

Yikes that is a bit bad them not replying. I'm hoping as I am delivering mine by hand as I see them that I can get a reply slip back with the options while I'm there.

The plan is to wait until 1st March then invite others to take their daytime places so literally there would be nowhere for them to sit if they just turned up without sending a RSVP! I think some of them presume I know they are coming..... but they havent told me!

I think if I haven't had mine back by the date I will give them a courtesy call to see what is going on and then take it from there. I guess its easy for people to assume that you know they are coming but its nice to actually have it confirmed and you need to know one way or another so that you can invite others and give the venue the numbers. I don't think some people actually consider this unless they have gone through it themselves.

I've put a date on mine. I've also asked them what dinner they want so I can inform the venue on who is having what and where they are sitting. I figure because its asking for information on food it will give me a better chance of a reply as they will all want their dinners lol.
I've also asked them for a song request too so that the evening is more personal to the guests.

I would make them put their names down next to the menu choice rather than a tick or you won't know who is having what and where to send the food.

I had a phone call from a good friend the other day who is invited to the wedding. She said she hadnt sent an RSVP as I already knew she was coming and we had discussed it. Would have been nice to get a card as a keepsake but I suppose with modern communication people dont send cards back so much any more. I remember when I first got married in 1989 (pre internet and mobile phones!) all the RSVPs came back, this time it seems to be mobile phone messages and facebook instead!

I know what you mean though it isn't the same. I'm having a wedding box to put all my stuff in it afterwards and things like that are a nice thing to keep.

I come up with some good ideas every now and then lol. I'm giving the venue a list of the tables and seating plans with who is eating what to make it easier for them. It saves the waiters wandering around with food going cold. Sometimes I surprise myself with my organisation.

haha jo, i made my own weddin box! got a soap and glory gift set at xmas its big so my engage,nt cards i cut up and along wiv ssum fancy lace n gems decorated it!!

Oooo that sounds lovely. I want to decorate mine up too with my wedding paper and ribbons etc. I saw some wedding storage boxes that were well expensive already decorated but found the same ones acid free etc on a historic website for £14.99 for the large ones. I was going to get one of them and store my dress in it and then get another one to store my shoes and other bits in. I can then have them matching. I just know that I will always be in and out of it looking at the bits and bobs and I wil get it out to show our kids in the future.

yes am gettin a proper dress box! and then storin it at the parents as our house is a one bedroom n no where 4 it :(:( will just go round n put it on now n again at my mums lol
