Getting into "THE Dress": Who should I take??

I am choosing my dress (granted it's not until August..) and I'm wondering who I take.

Naturally my mum will be there.

I have 4 BMs. 1 MOH and 1 CBM (the other two are just BMs)

Should I take them all meaning I get 5 opinions or should I just take my mum, MOH and CBM?

Some mags say that you should only take a few people as too many opinions as they can be overwhelming whereas others say I should take more than a few in order to get the response I want from 'the one'

Hmmm. Help? xxxx

only take whose opinions count to you. if that means all 5 of you then it's all 5 of you.

my BMs are my friend from school (who hasnt shown the greatest of interest in the wedding so far.) and h2b's 14 year old sister..

my cbm is h2b's 20 year old sister and so if i take her then surely ill have to take the other..

im just not sure i was 5 different opinions fired at me

i took my mum and sis (moh) as they would put it to me straight as usual!!!

yeah id take the ones whos opinions you trust but not too many, some bridal shops now have restrictions on the amount you can take in with you. xx

i know the owner so i dont think it'd be an issue.

i dont want anyone to feel left out but my BM is away until the 18th august and so itd have to be after that but i only get so much A/L from uni so i dont want it to be rushed arrgghh!!! D:

I've been to several fittings and have taken different people to each. Dan has been to two with me, my MOH and Dan to another, my mum to a fourth and I went on my own to one. My other BM is coming to the next one.

Take whoever's opinion you value the most. Mine happens to be my OH, but I know that doesn't suit most brides.

When I first went dress shopping I took my h2b because he is very honest and will tell me straight what I look like and after all its his opinion that counts most. But, he has'nt seen my dress because i'm having it made, but it gave me a good idea what he'd like to see me in on the day.

when i asked sam what he saw me in he described a plain dress. having already tried dresses on, i know plain dresses isnt what i like!!

yeah my mum is too as is my MOH. my CBM is a little fairer with her words.

however i dont want to leave people out but i dont want to have to wait til after the latter half of august. arghh!

From my experience I would only take one or three on your first trip out. Then when you have narrowed down the options take them all!

My MO"H" arranged my first shopping trip and it was lovely because it was me and her. Any more and it would have been stressful. 2nd time out it was her and my only other BM (my mother refused to go) and we found it! 3rd trip to placate my mother, just me and her.

I just took my bridesmaid as my mum didnt want to come with me, I did ask my nan but she just let me down everytime! Glad i have my dress sorted now!

I only took my mum, then when we'd narrowed it down to 2 took a few more people with me. Too many people will complicate things xxx

going for a look tomorrow at dress's with just my mum but shouldn't really be doing this yet as i have a shed load of wieght to loose first but i'm being sooo impatiant lol and so is my mum (think she's more excited than me lol

I lost 2stone but put nearly a stone on over christmas (incl the 2 weeks leading up)
