Traditionally if parents pay they send them. Although my parents are and I am sending the invites. You can do what you like

The invitations should come from whoever is hosting the wedding; often this is whoever's paying the lion's share, though that isn't always the case (the person/people hosting are those who have been most involved). If you're all equally involved I would go with something like 'x and y, together with their parents' as it includes all of you.
As for who receives the RSVPs again that would be whoever is hosting generally speaking, though for practical reasons you might not want to follow that.

We sent our invitations our selfs, i had no idea parents did!
It's personal preference. I think we'll be sending them.

Traditionally they come from the brides parents but it's more common these days to come from the bride and groom.
Ours said "with their parents, Tracey * and Andrew * ............." so that there was some tradition still there x

Ours are from the 4 children we have between us...'Ashleigh, Leah, Dom and Dafydd invite _________ to the wedding of their parents Rachel and Carl. It's gone down well and has shown from the outset that we're 2 families becoming 1.

We are paying for our wedding so we paid for and sent invites. However, my mum and dad wanted the invites to be from them so we did them from them to keep it traditional x

Traditionally it was the brides parents that send out the invites as they would usually pay for the wedding. I don't have a relationship with either of mine and also because we're paying for the wedding entirely by ourselves we will be sending out the invites.

Both sets of parents are contributing, but we sent the invites from us. The other thing we considered was sending them from both sets of parents.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

You could put both but in my opinion thats too much text for a guest to read and I would just pop yourselves on it.
But that is my opinion, if you want them on it then pop em on :)
