i started the dukan diet 2 weeks ago and so far lost half a stone. i am a foodie and love cooking, and although i cook really healthily my fall down is cheese and alcohol.

this diet is really easy once started and as it goes in 4 phases i dont feel like im being penalised, the only problem ive come across is since i started it ive had h2bs birthday, a wedding and today lunch with my BM's and its kind of hard to get the food for the first phase.

Yep - am on slimfast milkshakes (3rd week), clothes getting less tight - and have final dress fitting on 20th August, so not weighing myself until then. Dress fits, but its just a little snugger than I'd like

Good luck girls - am sure we will all look like princesses on our wedding days :-)

    :-)

ps 7 weeks/49 days to go and I'm soooooooooooooooo excited, just waiting for our signature board and my wedding ring to come and I'm missing my engagement ring - so hoping they will send that with wedding ring as I need to contact vicar about blessing both our wedding rings before the wedding

dukan diet is available in a book, i got mine from amazon. it involves 4 stages and the first stage is too eat pure protein only. i.e. as muchas you want fat free yog, cottage cheese, lean meats, fish eggs etc. the only meat to avoid is lamb and pork. you also have to eat 1.5 tablespoons of oat meal a day but this can be in the form of a pattie or like a porridge and at least 1.5litres of water, no alcohol though. even though ive had a few social things to do i still managed to lose the weight just by following the above and being very careful. i.e. very small salad, no carbs etc. after 2 or 3 days you stop feeling hungry

on the second phase you start to reintroduce some veg but still maintaining the oat bran no alcohol rule. i am progressing to step 2 on monday and even though i have no willpower i have found it so easy to stick too and the only thing i miss is cheese. apparently so i can reach my target weight by dec and i am perfectly happy to lose just over a stone before my wedding.

    xx

    Totally do-able!

I've found, though, that I really have to be in the right frame of mind! lol

Ok, was reading an artical, in my local paper, about a family who decided to eat beans and rice (there was also lentils and lots of different types of flour, beans etc.) for a month and whatever money they saved went to charity, they managed to feed themselves (4 of them) for £25 that month and the adults both lost quite a bit of weight! Save money and your waist, lol, anyway, even they admitted that by the 3rd week they were running out of recipes and were a bit bored by it all but I figured as a way to save money if I swap 3 meals a week for the simple food (for those that don't know me, I have a family of 5) and hopeefully lose a bit of weight at the same time! x
