who is having what??? bridesmaids first or you? i'm unsure and always pictured the bridesmaids first! but someone questioned me about this and now i am not sure? only 36 days to go and i still have so much to sort out! eeekkk!

In the church we are marrying in (and other church weddings I've been to) the bridesmaids stand behind you for the vows. So it can depend where you want them to be.

Our minister said she always gets confused when anyone other than the bride comes down the aisle first and she's only young. I like the idea of two of the bridesmaids going first then me and my dad and the final two at the end.

I'm having my son waiting at the end with George, cos he's Autistic and we're not sure him leading down the aisle would work. I was gonna have my 2 BMs then me and MoH as she was walking me down the Aisle but as my brother has finally grown a backbone he will be doing it, so I'm sending MoH down after BMs so she can keep them in check. I wanna make an entrance also, I only have stairs to negotiate not any corners LoL x

I like the idea of me being the last one in so we are probably going to have flowergirl and page boy, then 2 x BM and then me and my Dad. Straight walk down the room so should hopefully be ok!!
My main concern is the 18month old flower giril with a very strong mind of her own! She won't actually have flowers ("she will probably eat them so not a good idea" - her mother's words!) and is highly likely to just run down the aisle shouting "Marky, Marky, Marky" as she loves her uncle Mark. Hey, if it gets her down there we will just have to go with it and hope the page boy can keep up with her!

Personally I am having my bridesmaid and youngest son/pageboy (he will be two) go first, then my maid of honour and my eldest son/pageboy (he will be 7) then me and my mum. I really want to walk in to chasing cars by snow patrol (instrumental version tho) but OH said no because his mate at work is addicted to it and it's his ringtone etc so I'm back to square one.....

We have been having this discussion as I thought I was behind my sister at her wedding and I am now unsure as none of us really remember! (to much champers before lol) Think I will have oldest flower girl and Page boy (11 and 8) then my sister and youngest flowergirl as she is only 3 and will need to hold her mums hand walking down. Our ushers won't be walking down the aisle, they will be manning the doors and seating guests and as one is the father of flower girl and page boy he will be waiting with them for me and making sure they are ok!

Jonseygal - one of my ushers is my floergirls dad, so thats why his mum wanted him walking behind neve....just doesnt feel right though. Dont mind him waiting with her at the back....just not in my procession.

Point out that ushers are needed to close the doors after you, then open the doors for you to leave.

I thought it was bridesmaids first because then as they get to the end, they can take their seats rather than be stuck behind you! Also if you go first people will look at you and then past you to the bridesmaids!

...at any reg office weddings I have been at the wedding party has gone down the 'aisle' first...then take a seat in the front rows of seats..with close family.
No standing happens as no time or room really...bouquests have been placed on the registrar table.
