We have decided not to have a toast master cos we are not having a really formal day. But who does all the announcements like, "please stand for the bride and groom's entrance etc" and the cake cutting and the speeches etc??? We are having our reception in the function suite of a local pub so its really hard to know who i can ask?

i would say ask anyone really who would be comfortable doing it- could be the bestman, maid od honor, ur mum, dad, the dj lol- i think we are going to get the usher to do this bit

the loudest person in your family/friends? needs to be someone who doesn't mind shouting infront of everyone x

You can ask anyone really, but they will then be your toastmaster. Its just a title and doesnt mean that its formal.
