Being a typical man my h2b doesn't want to go flower shopping with me. My chief bridesmaid lives too far away to ask her and I don't really want the mums there as I will be ordering their bouquets too. Just wondered what everyone else did.

I went to one with my mum, one with the h2b and one on my own...to be honest i didn't really need them there at all, once you start talking about what you want and listening to the florists suggestions I am sure it is pretty boring for whoever goes as they just have to sit and listen for the most part...i would say if you have a clear idea of what you want and are quite good at making decisions then you will be fine on your own. if not then just take anyone who is willing!

I went on my own, I knew what I wanted and my florist is amazing, I agree with Kittyharris in that anyone who goes with you gets bored if you have a clear idea on what you want. If you dont, maybe have a look at loads of pictures and email your CB and see what she says before you go. Maybe if you go to a florist you could facetime or skype your CB so that she is there albeit via your phone?

haha nikki i got my bridesmaids dresses ordered over facetime with them in the shop and me in Bangkok! so if that can be done then it would defo work for this situation! :)

I'll be taking h2b.... he won't have a choice in the matter haha, but to be fair our florists we're thinking of using are near where we do our weekly shop so we'll pop in one day before or after the shop.

I wanted OH to come with me but gave im the choice and if he didn't want to come was gunna take my sister. So first time we walked in without an appointment it was me, OH and his mam. We had a proper consultation wigth just us a week later and we also added on the mothers bouquets.
One thing I would say is if you have an idea of what you want, have pictures handy for them to work with :)

Me and my h2b are going to go together, he wants to be involved in our flowers for the reception and church. We both have an idea for our centerpiece but he's not interested in bouquets so I will go back with my mum to do these as she wants to be involved in these.

Hubby went with me for 0 the first meeting to make decisions as she was doing our table centers, venue decoration, chair covers etc. But my sister came for the final appointment to confirm and finalise everything as hubby was stuck at work.
