Hi everyone, I am new to the site so guess I best do the introduction type thing. I am 23 years old, been with my fiancee for nearly six and a half years, we have decided to tie the knot at quite short notice really. We decided last week that we will get married this summer (late July). The main reason being that my parents move to France next year when my dad retires. My sister, her husband and kids all live in America, they will be over this summer as a family for the first time in over 7years. My brother is talking about moving back to New York. So basically for now, this summer, all of my family will be in one country. So we decided what better timing!
So after deciding that my dream wedding of getting married on a beach wasn't going to happen, I came up with a new dream, to get married at a zoo. I am a student at University where I graduate this July (early), where I have been studying Applied Animal Studies, so it seems ideal that I would get married in a zoo.
After looking into Whipsnade and requesting pricing info I am very much sold on the idea, its not massively expensive, everyone can go around in a train/bus and see all the animals - I think after closing, so it will make it special. But I was wondering if anyone had ever had or been to a wedding at Whipsnade Zoo and what their thoughts are on it?
Thanks for taking the time to read this Jay

Thats everyone for your response, took my time to reply - oops! Been busy with uni.
I went to Whipsnade and I am going ahead with it, looks like it will be a really great and different place to get married. My sister said it was totally me, I am doing a degree in Applied Animal Studies so I obviously love animals. So yeah we get to feed giraffes and have our pictures taken doing that so its going to be good! =D

Thank you everybody! Yeah we went and checked out the room there and everything. It was a nice factor that when we arrived there were peacocks outside the building we'll be in and wallaby's in the garden bit just wondering around freely. Although I am sure they won't be around too much when there are lots of guests everywhere.
So we are all booked in now for the 3rd July this summer =D Not a lot of time to do everything but it will be fine
