    Silver
    Silver

    Hi All,

My OH has very kindly offered to buy me some real Jimmy Choos for our big day. I never in a million years thought that I'd be able to fit into them as I have wide feet, but we called down to an outlet shop, and tried the style on, and they actually fitted..... They didnt have this seasons styles in, and I didnt like the pair they had there enough to buy them (they were kind of see through material). So my problem is, that I dont know which pair to get - the white ones would be lovely but pretty much unwearable with anything except a wedding dress. So, I thought maybe get silver that I could wear again, but my BM doesnt think they necessarily match. What do you think ladies? x x

I have the silver ones :-)

I bought them in silver mainly because I can wear them again, but, also because I don't really like white/ivory, and am a bit OCD, so they would have to match the colour of my dress perfectly.

I don't think silver clashes with white/ivory at all, and I personally don't think your shoes need to match your dress; not a big fan of the 'matchy matchy' look myself.

I voted for ivory, but if the tone of ivory clashes with your dress I'd get the silver x

I'm having silver shoes with an ivory dress, so I've voted silver!
Also, since you've really wanted some of this style of shoes I think it'll be nice if they stand out a bit - pre warn your photographer and get some nice shots of you wearing the shoes and the dress :)
I'm also a fan of being able to wear as much of my wedding outfit again as possible. Its bad enough I'm spending money of a dress I'll only wear once, so I'm making sure I'll be able to wear the shoes and jewellery again.

I voted the cream ones but only due to the snake type effect on the silver ones. If they did not have that I would have said silver.

I voted the ivory ones as personally I think they look much more classy and elegant than the silver ones and I agree with GF I don't like the snakeskin effect the silver ones have either xxx

I think silver is better as you are more likely to be able to wear them again, which with shoes like that you would definitely want to wear them again!

i've said silver as I have them; they are so much nicer than in the photo. I have an ivory dress but it has beading on it which matched the colour. I love my shoes sooooooo much!

The silver ones don't really look very snakeskin in 'real life', it's more tiny squares x

Wore my shoes again today for a fitting so I now remember exactly what they are like, very glittery with a tiny square design, I love them!

I'm going to second what Katherine said: the silver ones don't look like that IRL.

For that reason though, and I forgot to say this, you need to see them 'in the flesh', as they don't have the same grid/snakeskin look, and are also very glittery; which may or may not appeal. The colour is also slightly different IMPO. I first saw them and fell in love in the shop, but they didn't have my size, so went online to order them; I had to call the shop and double-check what the colour was as it didn't look anything like them.

I chose ivory, because I'm very traditional. But if you prefer the silver, go for it.

Sazzell: they're £360 (plus postage if you buy online). I actually paid less lol (£330 inc postage) as I bought them ages ago. They are gorgeous though, and I'll wear them loads after, so worth it IMPO.
