Hi guys I wondered if you could help, I always thought I wanted a short veil but I've been reading online and it says these should be worn with dresses without a train?? If you look on my pics you'll see my dress has a bit of a train, I don't know now!

Anybody give me any advice as to which type of veil I should be on the lookout for to go with my dress? My dress is very simple x

I think it doesn't matter I have a short train and the veil is middle of my back, it's just what I prefered

Try on each size with your dress then see what looks best. If you have lots of detail on your dress then you won't want to hide it with a veil where as if the dress is plain it is nice to use a veil to jazz it up a little.

I like cathedral veils but I don't think it would go with my dress because my dress is so plain and understated, didn't think it fitted with the whole theme of the dress lol! I just wanted a wee short one with maybe a few bits of detail on it, but now I'm confused x

I think it also depends how you are going to wear the veil and will you have it over your face walking down the aisle and in some pictures? I think if your going for the traditional a longer veil would be best but it's entirely up to you I don't think there is any right or wrong length :-)

no I'm not doing the over the face thing I don't think. Maybe I just won't have a veil. I am slightly confused about it all I wish someone would just dress me on the day and it would look great lol x

Then have a short veil :-) and instead of having it on top your head have it pinned it underneath your up-do, if your having your hair up that is!

right this is the other thing, I just want my hair down in loose curls, maybe at most a little bit of it put up, will that even go with a veil.

I have a really nice hairband made for me with pearls and crystals to go with my dress it is really dainty x

Hmm I think if that's how your wanting your hair then I don't think you'd need a veil! How you've described how you'd like it sounds very pretty and natural and would just look beautiful with a head band

I definitely think that style would be much suited to just a head band, that suits the dress, rather than a veil. It sounds very elegant!

I'm having mine down and curled and the veil sits in my hair fine like that.

I'm having a short veil with my hair up,
so the veil will be attached underneath

I tried the long one and I didn't like it. X

i personally think that the length you wear depends on how much detail you have on the back of your dress. i would wear a short one if i had lovely detail on the back that i wanted people to see, but if i didnt have any at all, i would wear a loing one to give it a bit more WOW factor :-) x
