Hello lovely ladies, my OH and I have been discussing our honeymoon recently. We're getting married next November. We have decided to have a "minimoon" because our little boy will be 3 and a half but we want to spend just 2-3 days alone together as a married couple while leaving our son with our parents. The thing is though we're stumped as to where to go! I don't want to fly for hours on end just for a 2/3 days. Any suggestions on where would be nice to go? x

were keeping it simple - a 3-day mini-moon in London and the Bowie Is exhibition. If you want to venture outside this country, then Amsterdam is nice, as is Prague. It all depends on what you like doing. ;-)

I live near Glasgow, in Scotland.. London is a possibilty as we have never been. We're not really looking to do much, just really relax have some nice food etc after all the months of hectic planning lol

I work in travel and to be honest it's sometimes the same price if not cheaper to nip abroad for a couple of days rather than take a UK break!
At the end of the year you may want to avoid places like southern Spain/ France as the weather can be rubbish. Greece is always a good'un or maybe the Balerics?
If your looking at the UK why not keep in with the whole winter time thing and take a city break somewhere like Edinburgh or York? I took h2b to Edinburgh last year as his birthday is 2nd Jan and it was gorgeous. We did the typical touristy bits but also found some really gorgeous little pubs and it felt like we were in Hogwarts haha!
Maybe not Edinburgh thought if you are from Glasgow!! haha!! x

what about a log cabin in the Yorkshire dales? be all romantic with the fire going and the rain coming down? lol or abroad ive been to Cyprus before in November and it was stil nice, I only went for a few days then too, it rained one day but still nice enough for bikini and shorts. x
We're off to Edinburgh this Novemember for our anniversary.. I work for Travel0dg3 so got us 2 nights in the city for £30 :) (BARGAIN!). I think we might be better to keep it within the UK as my son doesn't keep very well so I'd like to know that I could get home reasonably quick if need be :).. Plus we're saving up to take the wee one abroad the following year for a family holiday so a city break would be ideal :) x

I know it sound crazy but there is a gorgeous place in yorkshire that does hot tub log cabins...... They have a couple specifically for honeymoons and they have indoor double jacuzzi baths and outdoor hot tubs... Gorgeous if you want to just get away and live in your own little bubble for a few days :) If you want the name let me know :)
Cant wait to marry my best boy :)
I love him to the moon and back

We're going to a log cabin with hot tub in dumfries then a couple of nights in edinboro...just wanted a few days to chill out.
We live in York and spent quite a few holidays in the dales, lovely part of the world! If youd rather be near a city I think there's a place that's just a few miles out of York with hottub log cabins - so you get a bit of seclusion with the bonus of a nearby city.
Or the lake district is stunning and possibly a bit closer for you? Xx

We went to Malta for about 3/4 nights when we got engaged... it was a surprise and we pretty much just packed hand luggage, it wasn't a long flight and we weren't jet lagged. The weather is super good all year round, and probably more acceptable to us Brits at that time of year youre looking at plus significantly less expensive. Its absolutely beautiful and they speak a lot of English and have some home familiarities like random M&S, claires accessories etc... but it's like being in Italy crossed with the Middle East and Greece! You can even day trip to Gozo whilst you're there!
And we lived happily ever after!
