    Hi Ladies,

Looking for some advice please. My OH bought me a beautiful vintage engagement ring from Hatton Gardens (feel free to take a peek at my album). My problem is that the setting is too big to buy a plain wedding band and so I think I need one made. The shop in Hatton Gardens does make wedding bands to fit their engagement rings but I dont want to send my ring away and London is a little too far for a day trip. Birmingham is less than an hour away and I wondered if anyone had used any of the shops in the jewellery quarter there? Also, are they very expensive? Finally, not that you can really see it in my pics, but the ring is art nouveau style and very sparkly, and Im wondering what sort of band would compliment the ring? I was originally thinking just a plain band ... but not really sure!!

Any advice will be greatfully received.... :-) x x

I think you should think of a budget you'd like to spend and make this completely clear when u go looking for a ring,as you may be able to get something discounted rather than paying a huge amount. Don't let the professionals drown you with jewellery talk and what they think u need...have a good think and research before u go, I have a square cut engagement ring so I'm also gonna have to think about what to do with mine x

Hey Izzy ive been tyo the jewellery quarter in Birmingham and you can get ring designed exactly to fit your e ring and its not to expensive it alwaysz depends on the metals you want and how thick and it you want to have stones init also add engraving in too. what m,etal is your ring i think you should stick to the same metal or like me my e ring silver thinking of getting my wedding ring the same but H2B wants it in in white gold but i also wants stones n engraving one shop suggesting would prefer to do it in white gold but they would have to take my ring i dont like that idea of not wearing my e ring feel naked without it so may just stick to the silver ring as it is cheaper =D <3 X Hope this helps
