We've not been to any of the places before so we are just going to try and fit in as much as possible! I will be glad to relax once we get to the hotel in Mexico! We have to go via Dallas to get to Mexico and then via Atlanta to get back home to Manchester so it will be very tiring xx

Beth can I ask where you are staying in Egypt and who you booked through? We were originally thinking on Greece but not sure now with all that's happening so thinking Egypt. As also haven't ruled out Cyprus or a cruise

***Th0m@5 C00k is usually the cheapest for eygpt, we went in March this year and we paid £400 each.. Silly cheap!
**EDIT: COMPANY DISGUISED IN ACCORDANCE WITH FORUM RULES. MODERATORS
We booked Greece before we realised the true extent of the trouble they are in... should be fine though, people are still going now with no problems and if anything they're promoting tourism now more than ever as that's what they're relying on heavily at the moment! As long as we ensure we have enough money with us etc. it will all be fine.
Egypt is great too. I have been there 4 times and would definitely go back again :)

Hi all just wanted your opinions please
So we are looking at going to Majorca for 11 nights with our LO in September next year for our honeymoon. We originally wanted a private villa just for the 3 of us but thought we'd check out the prices of 4/5 star hotels whilst we waiting for villas to be released in October (travel agent phoning us at some point in October) we've found a lovely 4 star hotel called 1ntur0t3l c@l@ @zul p@rk. Has anyone ever been? We've found a great deal with brill flight times but were not sure as to wait and see how much a villa is and risk loosing the hotel at the price we've seen. What do you think we should do? X

Can you compare villa prices for this year? Prices won't change significantly.
Also you need to decide whether you want a hotel or villa as they'll have different benefits, , pros and cons.

Leasa that looks fab!!!
Mrs Wade, like IDL said I think you need to weigh out the pros and cons of a hotel vs a villa. Whilst a private villa sounds lovely, I would personally go for a hotel so you can enjoy more of the honeymoon 'experience', i.e. not having to cook your meals and the like! You do too much as it is, you deserve some "me" time - let people worry about you for a change xx

Aww thank you Flossie. I think were 80% sure we are going for a hotel and this one we've found looks fab. It's 4 star too. We did look at 5 but it's a little out our price range as we have to pay for LO too as he will be 3 at the time.
Fingers crossed we can book it soon then it's diet, diet, diet lol x

has anyone any advice on booking a travelling honeymoon, we have 2 weeks and would ideally like to travel about for a bit instead of stuck in one place!
any tips or recommendations?

Mrs T Hurley I went to $@nd@l$ in St Lucia earlier this year just for a holiday, there were loads of couples there for their honeymoons, it was really lovely! My FIL has also been to a couple of the one's in Jamaica, which one is it you're interested in?

I really want to go back with OH one day as would love him to experience it too. For me it will always be the number one honeymoon destination!! xx

What's the name of the hotel MrsMW? Me and OH have been discussing honeymoon. We are leaving it til the new year to book for we aren't sure about going all inclusive. We have never went all inclusive before. OH is a very fussy eater and don't think he would like the buffets at all. Plus we both love getting out and about in the evenings and finding nice little restaurants and cocktail bars so we are thinking on just going to a really nice hotel b&b. plus we don't usually drunk during the day and can't see us staying in the hotel at night so all inclusive might be wasted on us lol

We've gone all inclusive but we will definitely make use of it!!! It's proper all inclusive too, doesn't exclude any drinks and you can have snacks all day etc. Also get a complimentary mini bar in our room which is re-stocked every third day.. I can't wait!!! We will still go out a few evenings though and eat somewhere local. I love experiencing the local vibes! xx

We have no idea!! Ideally, we'd like complete seclusion. Personally, although I love the thought of having your own butler, it feels a bit cheesy!

I'd highly recommend the Butlers! We didn't have one in St Lucia & were slightly disappointed because it seemed that you got better service & attention in the bars & restaurants. Plus $@nd@l$ resorts are usually in HUGE grounds and not everything in the resort is necessarily within walking distance, when you have a butler you get your own personal golf buggy which they drive you round in which comes in very handy! I'd definitely get a butler suite next time we go! If you want seclusion & you like the sound of the butlers I'd say take a look at their Royal Plantation Resort, it's a small boutique hotel & every suite has its own butler :-)

We had a personal butler 24 hours a day, they were ironing our clothes and bringing us coffee for free whenever we wanted it. It was a huge resort with a massive shopping complex a 10 min walk away... Always wanted to go to Maldives or Seychelles, but so pleased we picked Bali, it was sooo hot, we had the beach, pools and lagoons to choose from.
I like villas but sometimes you can't beat a good hotel with staff around when you want something.

10 days cost us about £3,500 (well it was our honeymoon) including all the extras like eating out and drinks etc.
But there are much cheaper options, and all the resorts in the area were gorgeous.
It was still cheaper than last years week in Cyprus!!!!
Greece is always a cheap option, but I'm biased there.
