I've found a great UK venue but my fiancé and I are wondering whether or not to go abroad and get married instead. We picture white sands etc. We need a family friendly hotel and also I don't want the ceremony in front of people sunbathing, we want something special - what can people recommend as the Internet is so confusing... We love Cyprus but they don't have the amazing beaches. Many thanks

The carribean is supposedly a popular choice, but not been so can't comment on their beaches!

Florida will probs be a good bet as well. It depends on how far you wish to go though.

My mum and dad got married on a beach in Mauritius.. it looked amazing. Although not sure how pricey that was or is nowadays.

Mauritius has in the past been pricey, but as of next year I know Th0m$0n will be adding it to their destinations. The Caribbean coast of Mexico also has nice white sand, also Aruba.
I'm off to Mauritius next week so can report back on the beach.
Hawaii is gorgeous but will be pricey, we went for our honeymoon and they have beautiful beaches there.

When are you thinking of getting married and do you know how many people would be likely to go? My bet would be the Caribbean. My first point of call would be S@nd@ls however as they are adult only I'm not sure if they would allow kids at the ceremony only or not. Tamarind Cove comes recommended by a few people at work who have been to Barbados. As far as family friendly goes, Dom Rep tends to have lots of stuff going on, you could have a look there?

Negril in Jamaica has stunning long white beaches as do the Mexican beaches that are along the carribean seashore. X
