Like purpleme said, look arund for ideas, think about what you want, get an idea of prices etc...... get deposits down for things you know you definately want so it doesnt get booked up, little things like balloons, banners, etc can be bought early and stored in a box until needed to help spread the cost and help feel like your doing something (thats what we did)

i started with church, venue, colour scheme, favour bags and boxes, bm bouquets (as they are artificial), hair accesories, bm dresses (although they are bought for the size my young ones will be next year). You can get things like your decorations etc.
and start booking things like photographer, dj, band etc. Its never to early so at least you wont be stressing right at the end x

I found that setting a budget earlier gave me a nice framework to start planning arround.

Attending wedding fayre is a great way to gather information. One of the first things I did was buy a memory box to keep all the leaflets and informations in that I've collected.

Hi everyone I'm new on here. I have been engaged for a few month and getting married dec 2012, I have my church booked, wedding dress bridesmaid dresses and grooms suit sorted or paying instalments until the last details are needed for them. I've got details planned but wondering if anyone could give me an idea of when I should be booking the venue and things like that, and put the order in for the flowers/brides bouquet/ bmaids bouquets ect, I dont want to be sorting this out at last min if theres anything i can do now and make some payments. I dont think I'd look good as the stressed bridezilla.

will be greatfull for any advice thank you x

You only have 17 months so i would get everything booked if your venue is one that is highly sought after it will have booking well in advance. Flowers it depends if you have real ones or not. I am having silk so mine are already booked. We have 10 months to go and everything booked and deposits paid.

    Going to become Mrs Stockman
