ok so we have had venue booked a while but just the date no package confirmed!! so we went on tue and went through what we want and how much it was going to cost, 96 people 3 course meal wine for speeches dj buffet I wasnt having wine on tables or on arrival and was sorting all my chair covers & decs myself I was quoted £2389
but when she gave me the pack with all my stuff in - there was a leaflet in with a unbelievable offer 3 course meal for 60 drink on arrival & for speeches & bottles on tables chair covers & fairylit back drop & table skirt table decs DJ cold buffet for 100 AND a 1st year anniversary party for 80 guests FOR £2011
well I could not believe it, we can easy cut our day time guests to 60 or pay extra for any over that...... so I rang her and I cant have it, she didnt mean to give me that, but she would do the: wine, food and dj for £2011, but we wouldnt get any thing else on the leaflet
I am livid!!!!!!!

no she said I can change my mind any time I want but that - that offer was try and get NEW customers we have been booked in a while - so I cant have it

Thats well unfair.... i would cancel and get h2b to rebook like goff said, i told cable company same thing....£30 for new connection, but £99 for repair, anyway the did it for £30!

hiya buzz where u getting wed again (beamish)????. go see the mamager or whoever and tell them that u were givin this leaflet believe me if u argue with them u will get this package at this price (customer is always right) lol tell them if u cannot have venue at the price on leaflet u will take your business elsewhere and u will not be leaving it there tell them u will contact head office to sort the matter as u should not have been givin the leaflet as it is false advertising xxhope u get it sorted x

no wonder but you could play devil with her and threaten to go else where!!!, l had the mis fortune of reading that another venue not so far from mine was doing a small wedding package, but when you add the extra guests the price nearlt doubles, such a shame that they all have a claus stating that they can with draw from an offer, hence we had to pay individual head price for meal starter, and dessert plus buffet and welcome drink package all charged per head Grrr!!! xx

I agree with the threatening to go elsewhere, they have given you a leaflet showing you something better on offer and as you havent got anything booked or any form of contract as such yet you're still a "new customer" arent you?
Come on you're profile pic is literally bridezilla! Put it to good use woman kick scream have a full on tantrum that would put a 2yr old to shame, they'll soon cave if they think they'll lose £2011 as opposed to the £378 difference between the quote and the package (maybe even point those figures out to them)

Dont let them threathen you with your date.... scumbags!!! i would def argue it with the manager, Does the leaflet say 'new customers only?' if not then its false advertising and you are with in your right to get it at that price, its not your fault they messed up and gave it to you....x

well thats what I am worried about now if I am a bitch and demand that deal they might mess about on my day!!!! have payed deposit - no where else can hold my guests for that kind of money, so I cant change venue she has agreed to do the deal I was getting for £2389 + the drinks package for £2011 so dont know weather just to be happy with that...... I always roll over in the end!!!! :-(

Have you spoken to a member of actual management? If you have then speak to the chain's head office and explain the situation to them. If you haven't already signed a contract then technically you're classed as a 'new customer' ergo should be allowed this deal.
Don't roll over until you've gone as high up in the management chain as you can, and I'd mention to her seniors that she's threatened to book someone else in your day - I see a vision of the future.................her in the dole queue hehe xxx

If they have had enquiries about your date then these 'others' would surely be new customers and entitled to that rate too. I suggest you go above her and tell them that all you have paid is the deposit to secure the venue for that date. Tell them that whilst her offer is a generous one, it is not as generous as the offer on the leaflet.

Not alot dove she just gave in and emailed me she has asked me to go down on fri and see the decs and go through numbers as if I am having more than 60 I need to pay for a extra meal, drinks and a chair cover for each guest which is fine!!! am so happy
