My wedding venue does not have accommodation, which is fine, there are a couple of lovely country inns near by we will be looking to hire out for our guests. My question is, how do we get our luggage to the hotel? Do I bring it with me and leave it at the venue whilst we have the wedding, does someone else drop it.

I feel really silly not knowing the answer any suggestions will help as accommodation is a couple of miles form the venue we are having for the wedding and reception

I'm not 100% sure on that either but I'm guessing that somebody would do that for you? Perhaps one of the BMs? That could be one of their duties lol x

Can it not go in the back of the best mans car or another responsible person? Then when the car/taxi arrives to take you to the hotel at end they can ensure you bags are there too xxx

Can you ask the venue if they can store it securely for you for the day? Or if not ask the inn if you drop it off in the morning they can store it for you and put it in your rooms when they are free? If you are booking several rooms with them surely they can do you this small favour. I'm sure one of the two will be able to solve the problem for you. Just ring them up and ask. x

If its just for you two; i would ask one of your ushers or an aunty/uncle to do it or speak to the inn where you will be staying and see if you can drop it off the day before. If you mean for all of your guests i would see about getting a man with a van or ask a local taxi company if they can do it maybe in combination with the job of getting your guests to their accommodation at the end of the day that way you might be able to haggle on the price?

That's the thing is both myself and my fiancé are going from completely different places. Honeymoon isn't yet booked but we hope to go within a day or two of the wedding, and it crossed my mind and I thought, ugh what do I do.

Bm makes sense, but then she is coming with me to the venue on the day as well. Lol. Simple things sometimes seem so complicated!

We don't have accommodation at our venue either and by car the hotel is about 10mins away, we're hoping to stay there the night before and prep there in the morning of the wedding so luggage will already be there...
Someone could drop it off for you and they'll put it in like a luggage room til you check in xx

Yea same here, we haven't sorted the hotel yet for the night, but I'm going to get someone to either drop off the luggage at some point on the day. I wonder if you can get someone to check in for you because we won't be getting there until about midnight???

This sounds like perfect job for an usher or bridesmaid :) the last thing you want to be stressing about on the day is where is my luggage x

We are still looking into this, we were thinking we would take cases there before hand (literally across the road from venue)
I'm sure if you mentioned it to someone you trust they would be please to do something to help you out with it.

I would've thought that because it's a wedding, they will allow early check in and someone can drop it off at the hotel for you before the wedding x x

We will be staying at a hotel close to the venue on our wedding night. I have already contacted our hotel about luggage and they've agreed that my H2B can leave luggage and a car at the hotel at about 10 o'clock on the wedding day (we don't want to be getting a taxi in the morning!)

Our venue didn't have a hotel either ... we picked a hotel and Dan stayed there the night before on his own and then switched to an upgraded room which we were both staying in. I gave my bag to one of our ushers (BIL) to take as they were staying there on the night too, and he & my sister stayed at my Mum's with me the night before.
