I've just read the article and I'm so sorry to hear that Confetti have gone under - I was in Leeds yesterday and I was saying to Ross we should go into the shop when we had more time. It was a wonderful business and it's shocked me that such a large wedding company has gone bust!!
I really felt for the employee who said she was doing everything she could to at least help the affected couples and she was sent that disgusting email - fair enough, it's tough on a couple to lose money on their orders etc etc but to wish a horrible death on someone when it was quite clearly not their fault :( I think they ought to be ashamed of themselves!!
Valuable lesson for us all here though - I shall be purchasing my insurance tomorrow morning!! xxx

I made sure as soon as we put the first deposit down we got wedding insurance. I'm so glad we did now looking at some of the posts. I can't even begin to imagine what they must be going through and hope to god it doesn't happen to me.
I Heard on the news that they are only currently shutting down the stores but the website will still keep running for as long as they can. i hope their web sales can keep them afloat.

cant buy anything of the website at the moment. I cant even get on to check my order status. or if they are even gonna honour my order!
its a shame, cause their 20% off promotions were ace for some of the more expensive stuff like Vera Wang and DiamonT!

They were too expensive I think. I wanted to buy what was effectively 3 pieces of a4 card for £5! the delivery charge was another £5!!! So I walked to the craft shop and got 20 bits of card for £4 and cut them out myself! lol

It happened to me - although the business that folded was run by a lying, cheating bag who KNEW full well she was going out of business yes continued to reassure us our dresses would arrive and carried on taking money from people. she has done it several times before and refuses to declare herself bankrupt so she will set up again.
I didnt lose too much but i know brides who lost thousands with her.
TAKE OUT INSURANCE.....and cover your asses

I did phone them earlier and they couldnt help at all. Said we would all get an email next week sometime letting us know if we are going to get our order or if we have lost our money! Put they are pretty sure we are gonna lose our money

big company gone! its mad and it angers me they must know they are struggling so they continue to sell and know they may not be able to sort peoples order and wont have the money to refund!

its sad and worrying also im due to go on holiday in oct and 3 travel agents have gone bust in 2 months so im praying , hopefully my wedding insurance will cover anything
