When would you say is the best time to send out the save the date cards? Is a year in advance too soon? Ive seen some magnetic ones on the 'bay, and thought theyd be great for our guests to pop on their fridge. But am not really sure when they should be sent as Ive never recieved one, and they didnt exist for my first time around! :-)

send them whenever you want, there is no such thing as being too organised, and if you are getting married at a peak time or away from your family area then the sooner the better id say! x

I get married in June 2013 too and wanted to send mine out soon after New Year when we announce our plans to the social network world! Our close friends and family already know, but there's lots more people to tell yet that NEED to know and be prepared! Do you think that including it in the Christmas Cards is too soon for June 2013 wedding? x

Forward planning is always a good thing so sending them out with christmas cards will strike one thing off the list! Beware though that 18 months is a long ntime for people to hang on to things like STD's, they normally end up in drawers, pinned behind loads of crap on fridges or in the bin ad because they wont have calendars for 2013 yet they wont be able to write the date down, thus probable forgetting the date anyways! Maybe wait a little longer but its up to you :-) xx

I had never heard of them until i joined this site so didnt have them the first time round either hehehe
We have done a little poem for ours and will be sending them out so guests receive them a year to the day of the wedding.
