Hi all!! We have our wedding in October and are now thinking about invitations. We have them all ready but just aren't sure on when to send them and what rsvp date to put. Any help would be great xx

i would have the rsvp earlier than you actually need to allow for late replies
i would send out as soon as you want ( to allow for people to book accomodation ,time off etc)
Hi Rachael. I would send invitations out 5-6 months in advance (depending on your date.. are people likely to book holidays, is it during school holidays etc). We are getting married June 2016 and sending invites out Jan/Feb 2016.
Your RSVP date will depend on when your venue/caterers need the final numbers by. I would give yourself a couple of weeks at least to chase anyone who has not yet responded x
Happily married

Just seen your wedding date .... this will coincide with most schools october half term.... so i would get invites out now in case people think about booking a holiday for that week
im getting married in october and planning to send out invited end of may/june. Most people know when the wedding is and because my family are having to travel most of them have already booked hotels.
We get married in April and sent our invites at the beginning of January, with the RSVP deadline at the end of January. We only sent them late because we were a little disorganised but we'd sent save the dates in November. I agree that it's a good idea to send them early if your wedding day is in October half term, but if you want to wait and your budget allows, you can send a save the date in the meantime. My Mum did our save the dates on V1st4pr1nt and they were quite reasonably priced

I get married in August and I'm sending my invites this month, with a 2 and a half month rsvp date, that gives me plenty of time to chase non replies before my venue want final numbers

We didnt do save the dates at all, most of the family know when the wedding is but I think were going to take everyones advice and send them out soon with it being school holidays (which i didnt even realise!!) Thanks everyone x

I'm surprised so many send them so early. When we get invites for a wedding it's usually around 6 weeks before with an rsvp date of 4 weeks before so that's what we will be doing. I suppose it depends on when u have to give final numbers to hotel. We give final numbers 3 days before. I'd be scared that if I sent them too early then people who I don't see or speak to often would forget about it come the time!
