I've been told that you send the invites out 6 weeks before the big day, is it just me or is that too late. . .maybe i'm just overkeen!! We have sent save the date cards, and informed those that are travelling to book their rooms to stay in as we live near newmarket and we are getting married on a race weekend, what are you girls doing?
Can't wait to become Mrs Hardwicke. . .

Most venues want you to give final numbers 6 weeks before, I'd sent invites out 3 months before x
Now Mrs Cobb!!!!!! :-D

im getting married in july, ive already sent mine out and received a few rsvps back
the greatest thing is to love and to be loved in return
CommentAuthorJilly17
That is the traditional timescale but if you have people travelling or having to book hotels etc I would send them out a little earlier. Problem with sending them out too soon is people's circumstances changing which might stop them from coming to the wedding.

Thanks girls, better start making them then i guess. . ;-s
Im getting married 24th June, my venue need numbers and menu choices by May so sending invites out in 2 weeks and asking them back for 30th April that way i can do 2 weeks chasing and then give the numbers to the venue middle of May xx

i sent mine out last week as everybody needs to travel and book a hotel room if they want to come, and i have sum ppl from the states so was best for me to do it now. send them when it works out best for you, but i think the whole 6 weeks thing is way to late. if you put a date on like ljeh92 then you have time to chase too without being stressed that its so close to the wedding x

Yeah I'd say 2-3 months before, most venue want your numbers 4-6 weeks in advance
Now, finally, Mrs Riley

We're getting married 6th August and we're sending ours out in the next couple of weeks with RSVP for the end of April. We're visiting the venue early May so it means we can finalise numbers and pay the balance etc.
CommentAuthortweedwedding
I'm thinking the same, about 4-5 months before the wedding we'll send the invites out, I'm finding it hard not to send the STD's out now!! Feel like I need to sit on my hands sometimes!!
CommentAuthormrs handforth
so if i sent mine out july or august itll be ok because i was actually going to send em out beginning of december but getting married end of jan,and when do i send the save the dates?
CommentAuthormym72
We sent out our save the dates about 11 months ago (about 17 months before the wedding) - but that's because we're going to Gretna so we wanted to give the guests enough notice to book hotels etc.
CommentAuthorDellie
We sent ours out last week and we have had a few RSVPs back already !!! x
CommentAuthorshellay
i ahve already sent mine out, everyone keeps telling me its too early, but i like to be organised and because its holiday period, wanted to make sure important people knew, so sent them out anyway with a rsvp date a couple of months before :) x
