Hello everyone, So I get married in June sent out STD in summer (to day guest only), when would you sent out the invitations and would you send day out then night or all together? my wedding is a Friday wedding so people will need to get it of work for the day so that's why I was thinking of getting them out sooner rather then later. thanks

I have given about 1/2 my save the dates out as I have seen people to my wedding in july 2015 as its on a Tuesday! So thought I would give everyone a early heads up , but have got comments like "we'll be there If were still alive! "Its only 18 months away! So annoying was Planning on starting to make my Proper invites when its a year to go, and start with my family as there not so "oh its ages away" and give them out in batches of ten as I make them x then do evening guests, and have a Rsvp for Febuary 2015, then send out evening ones, and if anyone rsvps no can add people from evening to day!
Met June 2009 on my Birthday,Met again July 2009 and got
together, May 2010 Moved in,Jan 2011 got pregnant,
August 2011 Got our own place, 2011 Had our Baby Girl,
Dec 2011 Got engaged, July 2015 Getting married! Yay!

We get married in May on a Bank Holiday Sunday during a Half Term so we sent our day invites start of December and will be sending our evening invites in the mid of Jan with a RSVP of March.
In my opinion, its all about your circumstances of when you are getting married and when your venue need numbers by. Dont forget you also need to give yourself time to sort things like the table plan out too.

Our save the dates will be going out in November (A year to the day) and then the invites will go out in May with a RSVP of September giving us 2 weeks to chase people that don't reply as venue need numbers 6 weeks before hand!

We sent our save the date invites out two years to the day as we are getting married in Greece Nd therefore thought people needed plenty of time. My official invites are going out around April of this year as I email my wedding organiser in Greece and because it miles away I need to time to make sure everything is correct. May sound silly to most people but I have to be organised haha.
Think it depends on circumstances like the ladies said xxxx

we sent our STD's out 14 months before wedding. Invites went out to day guests 5 months before and evening guests 4 months before. we are getting married on a friday so sent them out early so people could book days off work etc. i also bumped a few evening people up to the day when i got no's so sending out day first helped for us.
my tip is to not give too long for RSVP deadline. the longer you give them the longer they will take. i am now 12 weeks from the big day and still waiting for a few RSVPs to come back x

I was wondering this too I have a lot of family who I will invite to the day but I don't think they will come due to travelling so want to save myself sometime to refill the spaces if they don't come Getting married July 2015 so was thinking of sending day invites out in January????

I am planning on sending out my day invites in Jan with RSVP by April, then I will send out my evening invites in April. My wedding is in August.

weve only got 33 people in the day and thats inc me and oh and theyre all immediate family so arnt sending save the dates or daytime invites to them, i will be sending evening invites out in march with a rsvp deadline of end of june so i know more or less how many to let the caterers know and dietry needs also :) xx
