ive done a quick search and there are loads of posts about people having their trials but how long before the wedding are people booking their hair and makeup trials for? im having family friend do my hair and she will do it whenever i want so not really sure when to book it for x

I had a make up trial about 10months before as I was really unsure if I wanted it. I am havung my hair trial about 2 months before by the same lady. She was really understanding and for the same price split the included trials into two!

I'm trying airbrush make up and am having a single trial to see if I like it, if so I'm going to book her in, and have a proper hair and make up trial about 3 months before the wedding.

I have already had a few make-up makeovers and disliked them, so doing my own. I will be having a hair trial a few months before the wedding xx

thanks everyone. looks like everyone is generally going for about 3 months before so think ill get mine booked in for beginning of january x

I'm doing mine in January, simply because I need to make sure that I'm happy with the lady that I'm considering. If I'm not then I need time to find someone else. I'm sure I will be happy; her website looks good and her experience is at the highest level.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

I had my trial about 8 months before the day becuase I have really sensitive skin, and if I was allergic to any of the products I need 8 weeks for it to settle down before I could try anyone else. If I had normal skin I would have done it 2-3 months before.

I have a hair 'trial' sort of, at the weekend. I am going to a friends wedding and my hairdresser is doing an up do for me which is almost identical to what I want for wedding so a good trial. I will prob do another trial about Easter time. I am getting married 200 miles from where I live so my timings are a bit different as I need to fit these things in whenever I am up north!!

I had my hair trial 6 weeks before the wedding, as I was growing it longer than usual - so I could have the style I wanted. Plus it was good to see how long styling it would take, so I could plan it into the day's schedule :-)

This is sonething I've been thinking about. I'm starting to worry because if it's too close to the wedding and you don't like your make up artist or hairdresser and want to find done one else others may be booked up ?!!
