    Hi everyone!

Me and h2b were going to wait to Jan 2014 to get our wedding rings as we were thinking about getting them in the sales however after speaking to a few people I don't know if that would be leaving it too late? We are getting married March 28th 2014. What do you guys think?

i got mine from the same people mrs talbot has mentioned. we're paying ours off monthly too. If you want them made you might be pushing it to leave it that late, but if you are going to get standard in stock ones you may be ok.. depends really what you want :).. and like the others have said gold is going up (quite a lot), so it may be best to get them sooner rather than later if you're budget doesn't allow for it. we got ourss earlier so we could have really nice rings rather than "budget"ones as the money is tight.. xx

Working for a jewellers I know there isn't a best time to get them, if they have to be ordered from a supplier it only take a couple of weeks at most, as gold prices are high and not budged for the last 3 months you may find them expensive now or in the future. We can all keep our fingers crossed the market get flooded and the prices come down hehe!
I normally suggest that people get them 3 months before the wedding as you never know what will happen if its too soon, fingers could swell or injuries occur and I hate to resize them, especially white gold.
Also if you want a white metal have a look at palladium! Great prices at the moment and it is being hallmarked properly now by the assay office so you are getting a naturally white metal at less then the price of 18ct gold.
I'd say wait, but if your too excited to then have fun!! xx

We got told prices for metal go up end of Jan or April (cant remember which tbh sorry) each year, sometimes by not much, sometimes by alot. We are getting married in May (4 months TODAY!!!) and wasn't going to sort rings until the start of this year but ended up getting them December actually.
Best bet, even though a good year away, start looking and enquiring about finance options etc & take it from there xx

We got ours from F Hinds and they were actually in stock when we went shopping for them. We bought ours over a year before the wedding though - and that turned out to be too early, because although mine still fitted, hubby's had to be stretched a couple of months before the wedding because he'd put on weight.

I would advise not leaving it too late (maybe about 3/4 months beforehand but don't get them too early as your fingers/weight could change).

Ours were from Beaverbrooks and they do 0% finance with no penalty for paying off early. You can choose how much deposit you put down so how much you pay per month. And can take it over 3 yrs! Which is good since men was £1150, ouchy!! Xx

We got ours from a company that comes to your house, it has London in the name. Really reasonable and got them about 3 months before. They were made within about 6 weeks I think x x

We have had a look online and H2b has found a ring he really likes with the kissing company. My ring will need to be made to fit around my E ring because nothing goes with it. x

Hi everyone. As Sparklez says there is no 'right time' to by your rings but theree are a few things to think about.

If you want something unusual or need a ring shaped around your engagement ring it can take 6 - 8 weeks for the whole process and we recomend you have your rings about six weeks before your wedding in case any size adjustments are needed.

Even for a standard handmade ring like ours it is usually 4 - 6 weeks delivery so you need to order a minimum of three months before the wedding.

In addition, although gold hasn't moved much in the last few months, most of the respected forecasters are saying that gold will increase in priice by about 12% this year and anopther 5% next year (Deutsche Bank)

So its really a good idea to order your rings as early as possible. That also gives you time to take advantage of the Interest free deals like ours which allow you to pay the rings off monthly and therefore avoid yet another bill just before the big day.

We all have different priorities and budgets so you have to just make a decision you're happy with. Your rings will be with you far longer than anything else from your wedding so its worth giving it some serious thought and chosing carefully. One important thing to check is the length and scope of the guarantee. We offer a free lifetime guarantee because we believe your rings should last a lifetime.

There's never been more choise than there is these days so start looking as early s you can so you can compare prices, styles and guarantees before making a choice. If you're getting married next year we would recomend you choose now - you could avoid gold price increases of 12% - 15% and have time to pay the rings off with interest free payments which many jewellers offer
