I have found some really good priced dresses on bay of e and can get them in a range of sizes so inc. P&P i get a bargain. Trouble is I don't get married till next summer so am I being too hasty thinking of getting them now? What if their sizes change? I can't really afford to get them altered

IMO if you can't afford to get them altered and there's even a vague chance your BM's might gain/lose weight then I'd wait. If they're a seller on ebay then they're likely to be there next year too. There's also the risk you might buy them then find something you like better in a years time, or your colour scheme etc might change! xx

I'd wait too; I'm getting my MOH dress in a couple of months, but there's not much time then for her to do much about her weight either way. My BMs are my daughters and although I've seen some gorgeous dresses I have refrained because I know that there's every chance of them both having growth spurts before the day!

need to crack on with mine, me and my 2 girls are going shopping on 9th Feb to get them. its difficult as we all do shifts so its hard to get together, however we are only going one shop as we are getting them from same place as wedding dress and i know the style and colour. just got to get measured

ok i will hold off till next january unless the shop I am getting my wedding dress from has any deals - if they do (some people have seen places that have given 2 bridesmaid dresses free when you spend so much on a wedding dress) then knowing I am spending all that money I may be able to ensure I get a bargain without having to get them measured there and then for what they will wear. Thankfully the 3 BMs are all adults and they have all been about the same weight for the last few years so fingers crossed! :) xxx

I saw some gorgeous purple dresses in Debenhams for £7 today - yep SEVEN!! Unfortunately they were sizes 10 and 12 and my bridesmaids are skinny minis - both probably a 6, def no bigger than an 8! DAMN!

I'm getting mine in March, mainly due to budgets, but like you I was so excited when I found them in October, that I was very tempted there and then! Really pleased I didn't as one of them is on WW and has lost a pile of weight and keeps changing shapes - grrrr! x

I'd wait too hun! I've bought my dresses now one of the girls has said she wants to have a baby before the wedding - I've told them all come hell or high water they will get in those dresses lol xx
