I would purchase adult bm dresses as soon as you like... dont be talked into buying smaller sizes lol and ask your bridesmaids to not put weight on, children I would leave until 4-8 weeks before, alot of shops make childrens dresses to measure, the one near me needs 2 weeks notice and recomends no earlier than 6 weeks before x

Thanks for your advise, do you get flower girl dresses to match bridesmaid or are they normally different? x

My flower girl dresses will be ivory and burgundy, as my dress is ivory and bridesmaid dress burgundy, I wanted a mix and match but you can have very similar to bridesmaid, its entirely up to you

I get married in September and i have only just ordered my flowergirl dress as they needed 6 months order time. My adult bridesmaids are being ordered in April (one is pregnant and due then) and i was told it would take 12-16 weeks. The dress shops have all said it depends on the designer to how long they take so check first. My bridesmaids are in navy but my flowergirl is in ivory with a navy sash to tie it all in x

I would leave it until next year... we are getting married October 2013 and getting my 2 flowergirl dresses about 2 months before as dont want the girls having a growth spurt or anything. Then getting the bridesmaid about 3/4 months before - i didnt want to do it too early and put pressure on them that they couldnt lose/gain weight xx

Don't leave it too late like me! I thought 2 month would be more than enough time to order bridesmaids dresses but app not! The bridal shop we're going to said they can put a rush order through for me tho, fingers crossed it'll be ok, otherwise I'll have to find something on the highstreet!
