Aww they are so cute :) If you have them ready to go then I'd post whenever. People are happy to recieve them early especially if the wedding is around summer holiday time (which yours is) so they know not to book anything else :)

Nice work! I'm making and sending mine this week xxx

Thats a good thought Roxy...I'm going to send mine out soon just because I'm excited!
Our thought was to combine them with Thank You cards for prezzies received at the engagement party which was in August - do you think its too late to send cards now?
If so, we're going to combine them with xmas cards to cut down on postage costs :) x

No that's a lovely idea to say thaks for the engagement party now save the date for our wedding! I know someone who's written all her Christmas cards already so if you were super organised you could send all 3 at once and definitely save on the postage!

WOW That's impressive, all her christmas cards written! I haven't even bought mine yet! But yes if can combine all 3 you will def save on pastage

I was going to send mine in January cos people told me that it was 6 months before for save the dates and 2 months before for invitations I dunno though lol. Maybe I shouldve sent them already....

the whole point is to ask your guests to keep the date free, so I'd send out save the dates ASAP :-)
as for invites, don't forget you need time to potentially chase up any replies before you can confirm with your venue etc, so we're planning our RSVP date 2 months before so we can catch anyone up and give final numbers 3-4 weeks before the wedding...

See I kept syaing that but my BM (who works in a seamstress shop and deals with weddings all the time) was like no no you dont need to send them untill 6 months before. I ordered 10 samples ages ago from the VP site so I can go and order the rest anytime which is good but I'd rather have them sent off and ticked off the list lol. See, no one listens to me. I thought they shouldve been sent in like June when we booked the venue but everyone was like - no its ages away....acht well, most of our guests know the date so hopefully shouldnt make too much difference.
