Hi all! I'm getting married in September next year and just wondering when I should be looking at ordering the flowers? I don't know what I want or whether to artificial or real ones, I'm finding it harder to pick flowers than I did a photographer! :/

I haven't got my flowers yet for a sept 2014 wedding either... I have just flowers,invites and entertainment to sort .... We're having sunflowers as they are very rustic and are seasonal for September... There's gerberas too? They're very seasonal x

Do you have a local florist you can go and speak to? They will be able to talk through ideas with you and also prices etc. Then if you decide you want real flowers you can put a deposit down for their time, with the final price and design to be arranged nearer the time. We can't afford real flowers so are getting silk ones, i've already chosen them and am ordering on pay day xD eeeeek.

You can do it 6 months ahead if you're using a florist just so you know it's booked and how much it'll cost. We're having a Saturday peak season wedding so did it 8 months in advance.

Good question hun, my brother Gf has offered to do ours as she's just started as a florist from home, but my worry is if anything happens and they split then she won't want to do them and I haven't got a florist :(, speak to a few florists thoug hun see what they have to offer and when they recommend to book and deposits ect x

I ma having artificial and I've already ordered mine. I will pay off the rest of the money I owe December time which will be 8 months before my wedding and she will start making them then. I don't think it is ever too early to start looking and book :) xxx

We have spoken to our florist already so she knows what we are after and has given us a quote. We get married in May 2014, and informed us that she would need the final decisions by January 2014.
